Dr Nori Rama Sastry Government Ayurvedic College Vijayawada was founded in 1922 and has a glorious academic record of 92 years, during which it has produced a number of national Ayurvedic stalwarts. Since its inception, this college has been affiliated with Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, and has been offering a graduation course (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, or BAMS) with an intake capacity of 30 students drawn in through counselling following the EAMCET examination.
Since 2003, the college has also offered a postgraduate course in the specialty of Rasasastra, with an admission capacity of 5 seats per year, with candidates chosen on merit in an all-India level open examination.

Process:
- No fresh registration in the Stray Vacancy Round.
- Submit willingness in the AACCC-UG portal to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round with an undertaking that you do not hold any UG (ASU&H) seats allotted through AACCC-UG counseling or counseling conducted by State/UTs.
- Option for choice filling is available.
- No upgrade is available from the 3rd/Mop-up Round to the Stray Vacancy Round.
Stray Vacancy Round for Deemed University
- The respective Deemed Universities conduct the Stray Vacancy Round for seat allotment under Deemed Universities.
- AACCC will send a list of eligible registered candidates to Deemed Universities for the Stray Vacancy Round, which will be exercised strictly in order of merit.
- The seats are domicile-free, and only registered AACCC-UG counseling candidates are eligible for admission.
