Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026, officially known as UGMAC (AYUSH) 2026, is the state counselling process conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) for admission to BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses in permitted government and private AYUSH colleges of Bihar.
Admissions are based on the NEET UG 2026 merit/rank list prepared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). BCECEB has now released the official UGMAC (AYUSH) 2026 notice, confirming the registration and choice-filling schedule for the first and second rounds.
The official notice states that the online registration and submission of the application-cum-choice filling form for Round 1 and Round 2 begins on September 21, 2026. Candidates can complete registration, application submission and applicable fee payment until September 26, 2026, up to 11:59 PM. The Board has also confirmed that four rounds of counselling will be conducted online, although detailed schedules for later rounds will be notified separately.

Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026 Conducting Authority
Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026 is conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB), constituted under the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination. BCECEB conducts the counselling on directions of the Health Department, Government of Bihar, and prepares the merit list based on the NEET UG 2026 rank list shared through the Health Department. Any changes in institution or course during the counselling process are decided solely by BCECEB, and its decisions are final.

Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026 Registration Process
Registration for Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026 is done entirely online through bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. The steps below follow the official process for Online Application:
- Visit bceceboard.bihar.gov.in and click on the link "UGMAC(Ayush)-2026" under the Prospectus section to download and read the Prospectus first.
- Click on "Online Portal of UGMAC (AYUSH) 2026," then click "Apply Online" to begin registration.
- Step One (Registration): Authenticate your identity using your NEET UG 2026 Roll Number, name and date of birth as they appear on screen. An OTP is sent to the mobile number and email address registered with your NEET UG 2026 application, this cannot be changed throughout the session, before or after registration. Create a password; on successful registration, an UGMAC ID is generated, which you will need for all further steps and future correspondence.
- Step Two (Multi-Step Application Form): Log in again with your NEET UG 2026 Roll Number and password, then complete:
- Personal Information, then click "Save & Continue"
- Contact Details (permanent and correspondence address), then click "Save & Continue"
- Educational Information, then click "Save & Continue"
- Upload a scanned, highly contrast colour photograph, signature, and any required documents, then click "Save & Continue"
- Step Three (Application Preview & Final Submit): Review Step 1 and Step 2 entries. Use "Back to Edit" to correct any errors, then click "Save & Continue" to update. Once everything is correct, click "Final Submit & Proceed to Payment" and accept the declaration.
- Step Four (Payment of Counselling Fee & Security Deposit): Complete payment online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI. A processing charge applies in addition to the Counselling Fee and Security Deposit. Payment must be completed within the prescribed date and time, or the application is rejected.
- Step Five (Choice Filling): After successful payment, fill your choices of course and institute in order of preference, click "Save Choices," and then "Choice Locking" to lock them before the deadline. Locked choices can be edited only by using "Unlock Choices," authenticated through password and OTP.
- Step Six (Download Confirmation Page & Fee Receipt): Download and re-verify the Confirmation Page and Fee Receipt. Any discrepancy must be corrected during the registration window itself, as per the Important Dates schedule.
- Step Seven (Download Choice Slip): After locking choices, download or print your filled choices using "View Filled Choices" on the portal dashboard.
Editing of already-submitted application data (personal, contact, academic, or category details) is allowed only for candidates who have successfully submitted the form and paid the fee, and only within the registration window, by using "Edit your Online Filled Application Form" with fresh OTP authentication. Once the registration window closes, no further changes are permitted under any circumstances, and the application can neither be withdrawn nor can any refund of Counselling Fee or Security Deposit be claimed.

This registration/counselling fee is non-refundable. Candidates applying for admission in private Ayush colleges must pay the full Rs. 1,200/- irrespective of category.

The Security Deposit is refundable and is paid online at the time of registration, along with the Counselling Fee. Refund rules, as per the official notification:
- Candidates who do not get any seat in any round, or candidates who get admitted and stay admitted, get their Security Deposit credited back to the original payment bank account after all rounds of counselling are complete.
- A Round-1 allotted candidate exercising the "Free-Exit" option (not taking admission on the Round-1 seat) does not forfeit the Security Deposit.
- A Freeze candidate (admitted) who resigns from a Round-2 allotted seat forfeits the Security Deposit.
- A Float candidate resigning/surrendering a Round-1 allotted seat does not forfeit the Security Deposit, but resigning/surrendering a Round-2 allotted seat does result in forfeiture.
- If a seat is cancelled due to a documentation discrepancy found during Round-2 verification, the Security Deposit is not forfeited in that specific case.

Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026 Choice Filling
Choice filling for Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026 happens after successful payment of the Counselling Fee and Security Deposit. The process:
- Log in to your account after successful fee payment.
- Fill your choices of course and institute/college in order of genuine preference, the order determines which seat you are considered for first.
- Click "Save Choices" to store your entries.
- Click "Choice Locking" to lock your filled choices before the scheduled deadline.
- If you lock your choices and want to make changes later, click "Unlock Choices," which requires authentication through your password and an OTP sent to your registered mobile number/email ID.
- If you click "Save Choices" but do not lock them by the deadline, your saved choices are automatically locked once the choice-filling window closes.
- You can download or print your filled choices only after locking them.
- The list of your finally filled choices is emailed to your registered email ID before the seat allotment result is published.
Important: your registered mobile number and email ID cannot be changed under any circumstances throughout the session, since all OTPs for choice locking/unlocking are sent only to these.
Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026 Rounds
Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026 is conducted in 4 rounds, all online, as confirmed by BCECEB. So far, the detailed process for Round-1 and Round-2 has been notified.
Round-1
- All eligible, registered candidates who filled and locked their choices and participate in Round-1 allotment.
- Result will published and candidates had to give willingness as Freeze or Float before downloading the Provisional Seat Allotment Order.
- Freeze/Float candidates had to physically report to the allotted institute for document verification (and admission, for Freeze candidates).
- A Round-1 allotted candidate not wanting the seat could exit via Free-Exit without losing the Security Deposit, and remained eligible for Round-2.
- If a candidate does not report within the scheduled period, the allotted seat is automatically cancelled.
Round-2
- Eligible candidates: those not allotted a seat in Round-1, those who exercised Free-Exit from Round-1, and Float candidates from Round-1 seeking upgradation.
- No fresh registration is allowed for Round-2, only fresh/edited choice filling.
- Candidates who already hold a Round-1 seat and want to upgrade cannot remove their Round-1 allotted choice while editing for Round-2.
- Result will published with document verification.
- A Freeze candidate from Round-2 who wants to resign later can do so, but this results in forfeiture of the Security Deposit.
- A Float candidate from Round-1 whose seat gets upgraded in Round-2 must join the college on the newly allotted seat.
- Candidates whose Round-1 seat gets cancelled due to a documentation discrepancy remain eligible for fresh choice filling in Round-2, based on updated (corrected) category data, without losing their Security Deposit in that specific case.
Round-3
- BCECEB has confirmed that Round-3 will be conducted, but the detailed schedule, eligibility conditions and choice-filling process for Round-3 will be published through a separate advertisement.
- As per the general rules stated in the Prospectus, candidates who resign from a Round-2 allotted seat, or who were allotted a seat in Round-2 but could not complete admission, are expected to be eligible for Round-3 with fresh payment of Counselling Fee and Security Deposit and fresh choice filling.
Admission Process and Document Verification
Once a seat is allotted in any round of Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026, candidates must complete the following:
- Give willingness as Freeze or Float before downloading the Provisional Seat Allotment Order.
- Report physically to the allotted institute (as printed on the Provisional Seat Allotment Order) within the scheduled period, carrying all original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies of each document.
- Undergo document verification. If found eligible, complete admission with payment of the requisite college fee; original documents are retained at the reporting centre, and a Document Verification Slip is issued.
- If any discrepancy is found during verification (such as a category mismatch), the allotted seat is cancelled, and a Discrepancy Slip is issued.
- Float candidates who upgrade to a better seat in the next round must carry their earlier round's Document Verification Slip along with fresh original documents when reporting for the newly allotted seat.
- Freeze candidates who wish to resign must visit the admitted institute physically, provide the reason for resignation to the Principal through online mode, and obtain a system-generated Resignation Slip signed by the Principal/Admission Incharge.
Failure to report and complete document verification/admission within the scheduled period, for any round, results in automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.
Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026 Merit List
Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026 merit list will be prepared by BCECEB based on the NEET UG 2026 All India Rank (AIR), after scrutinising data received from NTA through the Health Department, Government of Bihar. Only candidates who complete online registration and pay the required counselling fee and security deposit within the prescribed dates get their rank card generated.
Candidates will be able to download their rank card by logging in with their UGMAC ID and date of birth on the official portal once it is published.
