Types of Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling 2026
AYUSH admissions in Uttarakhand run through two separate counselling tracks:
1. All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling - 15% Seats This covers 15% of seats in the university's own government campuses and a share of seats in affiliated private colleges. It's conducted centrally by the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC), open to candidates from anywhere in India. All AIQ seats in private colleges are "open" in nature, no reservation applies here.
2. State Quota Counselling - 85% Seats This is the UAUC counselling this guide focuses on, run directly by Uttarakhand Ayurved University. It covers 85% of seats in both government campuses and private colleges:
- Candidates who are Uttarakhand domicile and passed 12th from a Uttarakhand institution get the benefit of reservation.
- Candidates who aren't Uttarakhand domicile but passed 12th from a Uttarakhand institution are still eligible, just without reservation benefits.
Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling Eligibility Criteria
Two things decide your chances. Counselling eligibility means you are registered and have qualified NEET UG 2026. Course and college eligibility means you also meet the academic, domicile and category rules for the seat you want.

Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling 2026 Registration Process
Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling 2026 registration is online on the official website www.uau.ac.in. Spot registration is not accepted.
- Open www.uau.ac.in and go to the UAUC U.G. 2026-27 counselling link.
- Register as a new candidate. Enter your NEET 2026 roll number, NEET application number and a valid mobile number.
- Fill the application form with your personal, contact and academic details. Add your full mailing address, ID proof details and email ID.
- Fill your category details. Reserved category and sub-category claims need valid certificates. Female candidates must select "YES" against the Women tab to be considered under the Women quota.
- Upload your photograph and signature. Both must match the ones in your NEET 2026 application.
- Re-check every entry. You cannot edit the form after final submission.
- Pay the Rs. 2,000 registration fee online.
- Fill your choices during the same window.
- Submit the form and take a printout of the submitted form and the final choices. Keep them safe.
Each round has its own registration window. You must register or upgrade, and fill fresh choices, in every round you want to join.

Pay online through Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card. UAU accepts no cheque or draft. The fee is neither refunded nor carried forward, even if your application is rejected. NCISM caps this fee at Rs. 2,000.
Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling 2026 Security Deposit

You can generate the allotment letter only after paying the security fee. Rules to remember:
- UAU forfeits the deposit if you do not join the allotted seat, or surrender or withdraw it.
- UAU also forfeits it if the seat is cancelled because of wrong information or missing documents.
- If you upgrade in Round 2, the same deposit carries forward.
- Pay from your own or your parents' bank account. UAU refunds it after the enrolment number is issued, to the same account.
NCISM sets a ceiling of Rs. 50,000 for this deposit.
Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling 2026 Documents Required
You'll need to submit these documents (originals plus one self-attested photocopy each) at the time of admission to your allotted college:
- 5 recent colour passport-size photographs (same as used in your NEET 2026 application)
- High School (10th) certificate for age proof
- Intermediate (12th) certificate and marksheet
- NEET UG 2026 admit card
- NEET UG 2026 result/rank letter
- Reserved category certificate, if applicable (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS)
- Sub-category certificate, if applicable (for Uttarakhand domicile candidates only)
- Ex-servicemen/dependent, Freedom Fighter dependent, or PwD certificate (issued by a competent Uttarakhand authority), if applicable
- Certificates for Wards of Kashmiri Migrants, if applying under that quota
- Domicile/permanent resident certificate (Uttarakhand domicile candidates only)
- Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, passport, or driving licence)
- Character certificate from your last attended institution

Points to know:
- An invalid OBC-NCL or EWS certificate moves you to UR for that round. You can re-apply with valid documents in the next round.
- If you qualify for more than one sub-category, allotment follows decreasing percentage of the sub-categories.
- Vacant State Quota category seats may convert in Round 3 as per Government of Uttarakhand rules.
Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling 2026 Choice Filling
Choice filling is where your NEET rank actually goes to work, so take your time with it.
- You can fill as many choices as you like, but they should be arranged strictly in your order of preference and eligibility.
- You must fill fresh choices separately for every round, choices from a previous round don't automatically carry forward.
- Once a choice-filled form is submitted for a round, it becomes final, there's no changing it afterward.
- Don't select a Quota/College/Course you're genuinely not willing to join, since allotment, once done, cannot be altered.
- If you're allotted a seat in Round 1 and want to try upgrading, you can opt for upgradation only in Round 2 not in later rounds.
- If you get upgraded in Round 2, your Round 1 seat is automatically cancelled and passed to the next eligible candidate in merit.
Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling 2026 Admission Process
- Check the result on www.uau.ac.in.
- Pay the Rs. 25,000 security fee to unlock the allotment letter.
- Download and print the allotment letter. UAU shares it online only.
- Report to the allotted college office in person with the allotment letter and all documents.
- Pay the college fee at the college.
- Collect the admission letter from the college within the period in your allotment letter.
Admission stays provisional. UAU enrols you only after checking your certificates. Forged documents lead to cancellation and legal action.
Academic Fee and Refund Rules
UAU will post the fee for the three University campuses separately on www.uau.ac.in. State Quota and AIQ fees are the same. NCISM directs colleges to show tuition, hostel and other fees on their websites and to charge nothing extra. Tuition is charged for four and a half years only.

Seats go by merit and choice. The Counselling Board meets after the merit list and declares the result. Allotment depends on your NEET rank, category, domicile, seat availability and your preferences.
- Round 1 and Round 2 allotments follow the merit list and choices.
- Round 3 allotment happens in person before the Counselling Board.
- UAU posts the allotment letter online with instructions.
