Puducherry AYUSH Counselling 2024 will be conducted by the Centralised Admission Committee Government of Puducherry, offers a streamlined admission process for aspiring students seeking admission into BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS and BNYS courses under the state quota. The curriculum for these AYUSH courses aligns with the standards set by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), ensuring a complete education in traditional medical systems. The online counselling process allows candidates to apply to both government and private AYUSH colleges within Puducherry. Following the announcement of the NEET exam results on June 14 by NTA, 2024, the registration for Puducherry AYUSH Counselling 2024 is expected to commence in the first week of September. The Centralised Admission Committee Government of Puducherry will oversee the counselling for 85% of seats in government BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS & BNYS colleges and all seats in private BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS & BNYS colleges in Puducherry. The remaining 15% of seats in government colleges will be managed by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).

Puducherry AYUSH Mop Up Counselling Schedule & Guidelines


Mop-up Counseling will be provided in a hybrid mode, that is, both online and offline (physically). Candidates can express their willingness in either an offline or online mode. Candidates who wish to participate in the offline (physical) mode should report to the CENTAC office on the Puducherry Technological University (PTU/PEC) campus as scheduled.

Puducherry AYUSH Counselling Eligiblity Criteria

Eligibility CriteriaDetails
Age RequirementApplicants must be 17 years old at the time of admission or will be 17 by December 31 of the year in which they are admitted to the first year Undergraduate Medical Course. NEET (UG) has a maximum age limit of 25 years as of the exam date, with a 5-year age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates and PwD candidates.
NationalityIndian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who wish to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses in a foreign Medical must also pass the NEET (UG) examination.
DomicileCandidates must satisfy the domicile requirements of Puducherry
CourseCandidates seeking admission to the B.A.M.S. programme must have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, as well as a minimum combined score of 50% for General, 45% for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/OPH (General & OBC), and 40% for SC/ST/BT&OPH at the qualifying examination. After the introduction of 10+2+3 years of education, the Higher Secondary Examination or Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years of study, the last two years of study consisting of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics or any other elective subjects with English at a level not less than the core course of English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training.

Puducherry AYUSH Counselling Process - State Quota

Step 1: Online Registration

  • Candidates register online through the official counseling website at (www.centacpuducherry.in) by providing personal details, educational qualifications, and other necessary information.

Step 2: Choice Filling

  • After registration, candidates fill in their preferred choices of AYUSH courses and colleges/institutions based on their eligibility and interest.

Step 3: Document Verification

  • Candidates attend the document verification process as per the scheduled date and time. They submit the required documents for verification, including academic certificates, identity proof, domicile certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and other relevant documents.

Step 4: Merit List Publication

  • Once the document verification process is completed, a merit list is prepared based on candidates' preferences and merit in the qualifying examination and entrance test (if applicable). The merit list is published on the official website, displaying the rank secured by each candidate.

Step 5: Seat Allotment

  • Seats are allotted to candidates based on their rank in the merit list, choices filled, and availability of seats. The seat allotment process is conducted online. Candidates can check their allotment status and download the provisional allotment letter from the official website.

Step 6: Reporting to Allotted College

  • Candidates who are allotted seats need to physically report to the respective allotted college within the specified time frame. They complete the admission formalities, pay the admission fees, and submit the required documents for verification.

Step 7: Upgradation and Second Round Counseling (if applicable)

  • Additional counseling rounds may be conducted for seat upgradation or if vacant seats are available. Interested candidates register again and follow the process accordingly.

AACCC Counselling Process 

AYUSH UG counselling refers to the counseling process for undergraduate programs in the field of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. These programs are collectively known as AYUSH courses and are offered by various colleges and universities in India. The counselling process for AYUSH UG courses is conducted by the respective state and central counseling authorities (AACCC).

The online counselling for the allocation of 15% All India Quota Seats in Undergraduate (BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS) courses at Government/Government-aided Ayurveda/Siddha/Unani/Homoeopathy Colleges, Deemed Universities (100%), Central Universities/National Institutes is being conducted by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. On the other hand, candidates seeking admission through the 85% state quota for AYUSH courses should apply to the respective state counselling authorities.

  • AACCC – UG Counselling
  1. 15% All India Quota UG (BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS) seats under Govt./Govt. aided institute of all States/ Union Territories.
  2. 100% UG (BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS) seats under National/ Central Institutes.
  3. 100% UG (BAMS) seats under Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
  4. 50% BUMS seats of AMU, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
  5. 50% BAMS & BHMS seats of NEIA&H, Shilong, Meghalaya.
  6. 100% UG (BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS) seats of all Deemed Universities.
  7. 100% UG seats (15% All India Quota + 85% Delhi Quota) of ASU & H Institutes under Delhi University as per eligibility conditions provided by the University.

Stray Vacancy Round for AIQG/AIQGA/CU/NIAll registered candidates who were not admitted to any seats through AACCC-UG counseling or state/UT counseling.1. No fresh registration.
2. Submit willingness in the AACCC-UG portal with an undertaking that you do not hold any UG (ASU&H) seats allotted through AACCC-UG counseling or state/UT counseling.
3. Option for choice filling is available.
4. No upgradation from the Mop-up Round to Stray Vacancy Round.
Stray Vacancy Round for Deemed UniversityAll registered AACCC-UG counseling candidates are eligible.1. AACCC sends a list of eligible registered candidates to Deemed Universities.
