West Bengal AYUSH Counselling 2026

West Bengal AYUSH Counselling 2026 is the state-level admission process for candidates seeking admission to BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BNYS courses in participating Government and Private AYUSH colleges of West Bengal. The counselling is conducted by the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) under the Directorate of Medical Education, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, on the basis of NEET UG 2026 merit.

For Government AYUSH colleges in West Bengal, 85% of the seats are filled through WBMCC’s State Quota counselling, while the remaining 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats are filled through the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC). For Private AYUSH colleges in West Bengal, 100% of the applicable seats are covered through the state counselling process conducted by WBMCC, including State Quota, Management Quota and Private College All India/Central Quota seats, as applicable under the counselling rules.

AACCC conducts counselling for 15% AIQ UG seats in Government/Government-aided AYUSH colleges, along with 100% UG seats in Central Universities/National Institutes and 100% UG seats in Deemed Universities.

WBMCC has released the Notice-cum-Bulletin for West Bengal UG AYUSH Counselling 2026 and started the Round 1 admission process. Round 1 online registration and fee payment began on 17 September 2026, with registration available from 11:00 AM on 17/09/2026 to 6:00 PM on 19/09/2026.

Candidates participating in West Bengal AYUSH Counselling 2026 must qualify NEET UG 2026 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and fulfil the eligibility conditions prescribed by WBMCC. Types of Seats and Quota Structure

It helps to understand the seat structure before you register, since it decides which choices you will actually be able to see during choice filling.

A few points worth remembering:

• 85% of seats in Government AYUSH colleges are filled through WBMCC's State Quota counselling; the remaining All India Quota (AIQ) seats in eligible government institutions are handled separately through the central AYUSH counselling body, AACCC (Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee), at aaccc.gov.in.
• Private College Central Quota seats are counted as open-category seats. There is no domicile or caste-based reservation here; a valid caste certificate (of West Bengal or any other state) only affects the NEET-UG cut-off percentile a candidate needs, not seat reservation.
• Any Private AYUSH College Central Quota seat left vacant after Round 3 is converted into a State Quota seat, after which normal State Quota rules apply.
• Non-domicile candidates can see and fill choices only for Management Quota and Central Quota seats; they cannot view State Quota seats during choice filling.

Domicile proforma types for State Quota

• Proforma a1 for candidates residing continuously in West Bengal for at least the last 10 years as on 31.12.2025, and who passed both class 10 and class 12 (or equivalent) from West Bengal.
• Proforma a2 for same 10-year residency condition, but the candidate passed 10+2 in the year 2026 from a West Bengal institution.
• Proforma b for candidates who did not pass class 10 or 12 (or both) from West Bengal, but whose parent(s) are permanent residents of West Bengal, living there continuously for at least the last 10 years as on 31.12.2025.
• A valid domicile certificate from the West Bengal e-District portal (edistrict.wb.gov.in/PACE) is also accepted, provided it satisfies the same underlying a1/b conditions.

If proforma b or a parent's e-District domicile is used, the candidate must also produce any two of three original ID proofs of that parent (Voter ID, Aadhaar, Passport) showing a West Bengal address, at the time of document verification.

Eligibility for a particular course or college seat is decided later, at the seat allotment stage, based on the candidate's inter-se merit and locked choices, clearing the criteria above only makes a candidate eligible for the counselling process itself.

West Bengal AYUSH Counselling 2026 Registration Process

Registration happens entirely on the WBMCC portal. Here is the step-by-step West Bengal AYUSH counselling registration process:

• Visit the official website (wbmcc.nic.in) and click the "UG AYUSH" menu.
• Click "Candidate Registration and Login."
• Choose "New Candidate Registration" for first-time registration.
• Read the Agreement page, select "I Agree," and click "Proceed to Application."
• Review the Consent Form for Counselling Purpose and tick the consent checkboxes.
• Enter NEET-UG 2026 details such as roll number, application number, candidate's name, mother's name and date of birth exactly as per the NEET-UG admit card, along with the security pin shown on screen, then submit. Any mismatch with NEET-UG data blocks registration.
• Set a password as per the displayed password policy, confirm it, and click "Submit & Next."
• Verify via OTP, an OTP is sent to the mobile number and email ID registered with NTA for NEET-UG. Enter the OTP and security code, then click "Verify & Final Submit."
• Review the consent form again for additional data particulars collected during the application stage.
• Open the Application Form and fill in personal details, religion and caste category.
• Select caste category carefully, a candidate who declared "General" in NEET UG can choose General or OBC (with a valid WB-issued OBC certificate); a candidate who declared "EWS" can choose EWS or OBC as per policy. Candidates who declared SC/ST/EWS/PwD in NEET-UG cannot change their declared status afresh during WB counselling registration.
• Enter bank account details and upload a cancelled cheque, passbook, or bank statement copy.
• Answer the dynamic eligibility questions on domicile and category, this determines whether you are eligible for State Quota, Management Quota, or Central Quota seats.
• Fill in your 10+2 passing details, address and contact information.
• Preview the complete application and click Final Submit. Until payment is made, you can use "Registration Unlocking" to correct any mistake; this option disappears once the fee is paid.
• Pay the registration-cum-counselling fee online via credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.
• Download the payment receipt and Candidate Profile Letter. this letter is mandatory for physical document verification, as it carries your verification venue, date and time slot.

West Bengal AYUSH Counselling 2026 Physical Document Verification

Physical document verification is mandatory for every registered candidate, before choice filling, at a designated college and time slot shown in the Candidate Profile Letter. Key rules:

• Candidates must attend in person with original documents plus one self-attested photocopy set.
• Missing this verification blocks participation for that round and the next round, unless the candidate pays the fee again and generates a fresh Candidate Profile Letter.
• On successful verification, a server-generated verification certificate is issued and also becomes visible in the candidate login.
• Only candidates on the published "list of successfully verified candidates" can fill choices for that round.
• A second, final round of physical document verification happens again at the allotted college after seat allotment, before admission is confirmed.
• PwD status is separately verified through the Primary Medical Assessment Board of NRS Medical College, Kolkata or another centre designated by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), DGHS, Government of India. A PwD certificate from any other institute is not accepted for WB NEET UG AYUSH 2026 counselling.

West Bengal AYUSH Counselling 2026 Choice Filling and Choice Locking

Only successfully verified candidates can fill choices, and the process happens entirely on the candidate login. Here's the West Bengal AYUSH counselling choice filling process step by step:

• Log in with your NEET UG 2026 roll number, password and the security pin shown on screen.
• Check "Available Choices on your dashboard, this lists institutes and courses you're eligible for. WB domicile candidates see State Quota, Management Quota and Central Quota options; non-domicile candidates see only Management Quota and Central Quota options.
• Open "Choice Filling and re-enter your password to begin.
• Add choices one by one, in the exact order of your preference, using the "Add" button against each institute/course. There is no fixed limit, you can add as many eligible choices as you want.
• Save your choices, use "Save and Continue" to keep adding, or "Save and Go to Home" once done. Unsaved choices are not considered for allotment.
• Rearrange if needed, anytime before locking, using:
• Manage Filled Choices (move up/down, remove)
• Choice Interchange
• Choice Rearrange
• Multiple Deletion
• Lock your choices, go to "Lock Choice," tick "I agree to lock my choices," enter your password, and confirm. Only locked choices are processed for seat allotment.
• If you save choices but forget to lock them manually, the system auto-locks your saved list once the choice-locking window closes but locking manually is safer, since you can review everything one last time before it becomes final.
• Download the Locked Choices Letter for your records.

Arrange your choices strictly by genuine preference from the first choice downward, the software processes choices in that exact order against your merit rank, so a poorly ordered list can cost you a better seat you were actually eligible for.

West Bengal AYUSH Counselling Rounds

Round 1

• Open to all NEET-UG 2026 qualified, eligible candidates who complete registration, fee payment and physical document verification.
• Choices not filled and locked in Round 1 (or auto-locked by the system) are the only ones considered for that round's allotment.
• A non-reported candidate from a Round 1 allotment is automatically allowed into Round 2 without fresh registration or fee payment.

Round 2

• Open to candidates admitted in Round 1 who gave willingness for Round 2; candidates allotted in Round 1 but not reported; candidates verified in Round 1 who did not get allotted; candidates verified but who missed filling choices in Round 1; and freshly registering NEET-UG 2026 qualified candidates.
• Candidates who missed physical document verification earlier can pay the fee again, generate a fresh Candidate Profile Letter, and attend verification in Round 2.
• Candidates who surrendered their seat after Round 1 or Round 2 admission are out of the counselling process, seat surrender is not allowed to be reversed.
• A candidate admitted in Round 1 who does not give willingness for Round 2 cannot participate in Round 2.

Round 3

• Open to candidates not yet allotted till Round 2 (fresh choice filling, no fee needed again); candidates verified earlier who missed choice filling (no fee needed again); non-reported candidates from Round 2 (fee payment required again); and candidates whose Round 2 seat was cancelled at verification but remain eligible under a changed category.
• This is the last round with a conversion facility for vacant seats from Round 3 onward, no further seat surrender is allowed, and this facility is not available in the Stray Vacancy round.
• Registered candidates who don't fill choices in Round 3 are not considered for that round.
• Candidates who remain admitted after Round 3 cannot participate in, or surrender a seat in, any further round.

Stray Vacancy Round 1 and Round 2

• Open to fresh registrations (new candidates or those needing initialisation) and to all registered-but-non-allotted candidates from earlier rounds, without any fresh fee payment for the latter group.
• No choice upgradation is allowed in the Stray Vacancy rounds.
• Candidates admitted through a Stray Vacancy round cannot surrender their seat or continue further in the counselling process.
• Non-reported candidates in a Stray Vacancy round are finally out of the process.

West Bengal AYUSH Counselling 2026 Reporting and Admission Process

• Check the allotment result on the candidate login after each round's declared date and time.
• Attend physical document verification at the allotted college, within the stipulated date and time, with all original documents and requisite college fee.
• Pay the college-level admission fee/bond directly to the college authority (not to WBMCC).
• Submit original documents to the college and collect a receipt for the submitted documents.
• Receive the system-generated admission letter from the college once verification is complete.
• Give willingness for the next round, if you want to remain eligible for upgradation in Round 2 or Round 3.
• If document verification fails at the college level due to inadequate documents, the candidate becomes non-eligible for further rounds.
• A candidate who does not report at all within the stipulated window is termed a non-reported candidate, and that seat becomes vacant for the round.

West Bengal AYUSH Couunselling 2026 Merit List and Inter-Se Merit

• WBMCC ranks all eligible, verified candidates by inter-se merit, a combination of NEET-UG 2026 rank/score and declared category (UR, EWS, OBC, SC, ST, PwD).
• After each round's document verification, WBMCC publishes the list of successfully verified candidates, along with the seat matrix, for that round. Only candidates on this list can fill choices.
• Seat allotment is then processed by the software purely on inter-se merit against the candidate's locked choices and seat availability, the first choice a candidate is eligible for, at their merit position, is allotted.

• Allotment is done purely by software, based on inter-se merit of verified candidates against their locked choices and the seat matrix published for that round.
• Category (UR/EWS/OBC/SC/ST) and PwD status are applied only where reservation exists that is, State Quota seats. Management Quota and Private College Central Quota seats are allotted purely on combined NEET-UG merit rank, with no caste or PwD reservation.
• The result of each round is provisional, pending a second, final physical document verification at the allotted college.
