Punjab Ayush Counselling Eligibility Criteria
No candidate shall be admitted to BAMS, BUMS & BHMS Degree Courses unless he/she has attained the age of seventeen years on or before the 31st December of the year of his/her admission in the first year of the course. Further, there is no upper age limit for admission to BAMS/BUMS/BHMS -UG courses as per NCISM.
For BAMS & BHMS:
- The candidate must have passed intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognized by the concerned State Government and Education Board with the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained minimum of fifty percent marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the aforesaid qualifying examination in the case of General Category and forty percent marks in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
- In respect of person with Disability candidate specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 ( 49 of 2016), the minimum qualifying marks in the said qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall be forty five percent in the case of General Category and forty percent marks in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
For BUMS Admission to Kamil-E-Tib-Wa-Jarahat Course:
- The candidate must have passed intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognized by the concerned State Government and Education Board with the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained minimum of fifty percent marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the aforesaid qualifying examination in the case of General Category and forty percent marks in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
- Candidate with Bench marks Disability as specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 ( 49 of 2016), the minimum qualifying marks in the said qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall be forty five percent for General Category, forty percent marks in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
- Provided that the NEET shall not applicable to Pre-Tib candidates and ten percent seats shall be reserved for Pre-Tib candidates.
Entrance test: Applicants must have passed the NEET Entrance Examination to be eligible.
Domicile: Aspirants must be of Punjab residency.
NRI: Foreign nationals will be admitted to government institutions under the NRI category based on their performance in the NEET Entrance Examination. NEET-qualified PIOs, OCIs, and foreign nationals can also apply under the NRI category.
Punjab Ayush Counselling Process
- NEET-2023 qualified candidates shall visit University website i.e. www.graupunjab.org and fill the online registration form carefully within stipulated date & time. After successful registration of the applicant, a unique Registration ID (i.e. Login ID) and password will be allotted to the candidate at his/her registered Mobile No. or email through SMS or by email. Registration ID and password are mandatory for further process, so keep it secret and don’t disclose to any unknown person.
- After successfully logging in, click on “Fill Choices.” To fill in the fields, applicants must choose a course, a college name, a reservation quota, and a reservation type.
- The candidate has to deposit the requisite fee through Payment Gateway using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
- Only registered candidates are eligible for the counselling(s) and without registration, none of candidates are allowed for the counselling (online/physical).
- In the online application form candidate shall carefully fill the particulars viz; Name/Father Name/Preference of course/College/Category/Quota/NEET-2023 Marks, etc.
- Candidates can fill their institutional preferences for getting their seats in the 1st round of counselling.
- The seat will be allotted to the candidate as per merit list and institutional preferences filled by him/her in the online application form. The candidate has to report to his/her respective college for checking of eligibility, document verification and medical checkup. The candidates are required to produce his/her original documents/credentials for verification.
- After the verification of the documents and checking of eligibility, candidate will deposit fee in the shape of demand draft of nationalized bank in the favour of Registrar Guru Ravidas Ayurved University payable at Hoshiarpur.
