AACCC Counselling Process 

AYUSH UG counselling refers to the counseling process for undergraduate programs in the field of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. These programs are collectively known as AYUSH courses and are offered by various colleges and universities in India. The counselling process for AYUSH UG courses is conducted by the respective state and central counseling authorities (AACCC).

The online counselling for the allocation of 15% All India Quota Seats in Undergraduate (BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS) courses at Government/Government-aided Ayurveda/Siddha/Unani/Homoeopathy Colleges, Deemed Universities (100%), Central Universities/National Institutes is being conducted by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. On the other hand, candidates seeking admission through the 85% state quota for AYUSH courses should apply to the respective state counselling authorities.

• AACCC – UG Counselling

1. 15% All India Quota UG (BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS) seats under Govt./Govt. aided institute of all States/ Union Territories.
2. 100% UG (BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS) seats under National/ Central Institutes.

4. 50% BUMS seats of AMU, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.

What is the minimum rank in NEET to get BAMS?

BAMS admission is based on NEET marks and to get admission in the BAMS course, a candidate should appear NEET Exam conducted by NTA. However, the NEET 2024 qualifying percentile and marks for AYUSH Courses are divided categorically, where 720-137 is cut off marks for the general category, 136-107 for SC/ST/OBC, 136-121 for UR/EWS & PH and 120-107 for OBC/SC/ST & PH.

BAMS is a bachelor's degree in Ayurveda that has numerous opportunities in the private sector and government sector as well. The Indian government allows BAMS graduates to open their own clinic, hospital, or Ayurvedic pharmacy after graduation.

BAMS graduates can pursue a PhD or MD in Ayurveda or related fields and work in research and top Ayurvedic pharmaceutical companies. Post-graduate BAMS students can also pursue a teaching career. They can find work in both private and public ayurvedic institutes. BAMS doctors can earn anywhere from 3 lakhs to 8.5 lakhs per year in salary.

How many rounds of counselling are there in Ayush Counselling?

1. Ayush counselling is conducted by the respective state authority for 85% of the seats, while AACCC (Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee) conducts counselling for the remaining 15%. There are three rounds of counselling, with an additional stray vacancy round for deemed/central universities.
2. Round 1 is for all NEET-qualified candidates with a NEET scorecard who are eligible for counselling.
3. Round 2 is for NEET-qualified candidates who did not register in Round 1 or were not assigned seats.
4. Round 3/Mop-up round is for NEET-qualified candidates who did not register in the first and second rounds, or candidates who registered but were not allotted seats in the first and second rounds.
