The curriculum for these AYUSH courses aligns with the standards set by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), ensuring a complete education in traditional medical systems. The online counselling process allows candidates to apply to both government and private AYUSH colleges within Punjab. Following the announcement of the NEET exam results on June 14, 2024, the registration for Punjab AYUSH Counselling 2024 is expected to commence in the first week of September. The Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Punjab will oversee the counselling for 85% of seats in government BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS & BNYS colleges and all seats in private BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS & BNYS colleges in Punjab. The remaining 15% of seats in government colleges will be managed by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).

Punjab AYUSH Counselling Process

Step 1: Registration

  • Visit the official website of Guru Ravidas Ayurved University Punjab at http://grauadmission.smartpad.in..
  • Fill the online registration form carefully within the specified date and time.

Step 2: Unique Registration ID and Password

  • After successful registration, a unique Registration ID (Login ID) and password will be allotted to you.
  • You will receive this information on your registered mobile number or email through SMS or email.
  • Keep your Registration ID and password confidential and do not share them with anyone.

  • Log in to your account using the provided Registration ID and password.

  • Select your preferred course, college name, reservation quota, and reservation type.
  • Proceed to the next step after filling in the required fields.

Step 4: Fee Payment

  • Deposit the requisite fee through the Payment Gateway using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

Step 5: Counselling Registration

  • Only registered candidates are eligible for the counselling process.
  • Without registration, candidates will not be allowed to participate in the counselling (online/physical).

Step 6: Seat Allotment

  • Applicants will be chosen for seat allotment based on their merit, preferences expressed, and seat availability.

  • If you have been allotted a seat, report to the allotted college on the prescribed day.

AACCC Counselling Process 

AYUSH UG counselling refers to the counseling process for undergraduate programs in the field of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. These programs are collectively known as AYUSH courses and are offered by various colleges and universities in India. The counselling process for AYUSH UG courses is conducted by the respective state and central counseling authorities (AACCC).

The online counselling for the allocation of 15% All India Quota Seats in Undergraduate (BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS) courses at Government/Government-aided Ayurveda/Siddha/Unani/Homoeopathy Colleges, Deemed Universities (100%), Central Universities/National Institutes is being conducted by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. On the other hand, candidates seeking admission through the 85% state quota for AYUSH courses should apply to the respective state counselling authorities.

All medical colleges will admit students based on the NEET 2024 admission cut-off. NTA has released the category-wise NEET 2022 cutoff for all medical aspirants, with cutoff percentiles of 50% for the general category, 40% for SC/ST/OBC, 45% for UR/EWS & PH, and 45% for OBC/SC/ST & PH, and cutoff marks of 720-137, 136-107, 136-121, and 120-107, respectively.

How to apply for BAMS Counselling in Punjab?

Only registered candidates are eligible for the counseling (s), and no candidates are permitted to attend the counseling (online/physical). NEET-2023 qualified candidates must go to the University website, www.graupunjab.org, and carefully fill out the online registration form by the deadline.

How many rounds of counselling are there in Ayush Counselling?

  1. Ayush counselling is conducted by the respective state authority for 85% of the seats, while AACCC (Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee) conducts counselling for the remaining 15%. There are three rounds of counselling, with an additional stray vacancy round for deemed/central universities.
  2. Round 1 is for all NEET-qualified candidates with a NEET scorecard who are eligible for counselling.
  3. Round 2 is for NEET-qualified candidates who did not register in Round 1 or were not assigned seats.
  4. Round 3/Mop-up round is for NEET-qualified candidates who did not register in the first and second rounds, or candidates who registered but were not allotted seats in the first and second rounds.
