Assam Ayush Counselling is organised by the Directorate of Medical Education in Assam. The NEET exam scorecard is required for applicants to obtain admission in Assam state’s medical colleges before registering for the Counselling procedure in AYUSH programmes (BAMS). Only those who have passed the NEET exam are eligible to apply for Ayush Assam Counselling. The various government and private Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic Institutions in Assam would accept the genuine NEET-UG rank card.

Assam Ayush Counselling Eligibility Criteria

Domicile:

Aspirants must be Assamese citizens.

Qualifier:

Applicants must have finished 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory courses with a minimum of 50 %, % for SC/ST category candidates, and 45 % for Physically Handicapped candidates.

Age Requirement:

As of December 31, 2021, the candidate must have completed 17 years of age.

NEET:

Applicants must have passed the NEET Entrance Examination in order to apply.

Registration Process:

Register:

  • Candidates applying to BAMS/BHMS/BNYS colleges can register for NEET 2021 Assam State Counselling on the Directorate of Medical Education Assam’s official website.
  • Ayush Assam Counselling will take place in two phases, both of which will be held online.
  • Students must pass the NEET 2021 exam to be considered for DME Assam Counselling.
  • State Merit list: The DME, Assam, would publish a merit list with the names of the shortlisted candidates based on their NEET 2021 scores. Only those candidates whose names appear on the list will be able to participate in the Counselling process.
  • Before the deadline, eligible applicants must fill out and submit the Assam NEET application form.

Mop-Up Round

The mop-up round would be conducted in an offline mode by the Assam Examination Authority.

The candidate must attend the Counselling session in person; no one can represent the candidate under any circumstances. Candidates who do not have an admit card/entry permit will be denied entry.

A candidate who does not submit original documents to the official website on the designated date before a mop-up round will be disqualified.
