NEET UG Exam 2024: NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) 2024 for AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) courses is an important entrance examination conducted in India. NEET 2024 Exam Seats

The NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam is a highly competitive and nationally recognized entrance examination conducted for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses in India. The allocation of seats for NEET-qualified candidates is overseen by the AACCC (All India Counselling Committee for Centralized Counselling).

The AACCC is responsible for conducting the centralized counselling process for admissions to medical and dental colleges across India. Through this counselling process, NEET-qualified candidates can secure seats in various medical and dental institutions in the country. The AACCC ensures a fair and transparent seat allocation procedure, taking into consideration the NEET scores and other eligibility criteria set by regulatory bodies.

Candidates who qualify for the NEET exam and meet the eligibility criteria can participate in the AACCC counselling process. They are required to register online, fill in their choices of colleges and courses, and participate in the choice locking process. The AC follows a merit-based approach, where candidates with higher NEET scores are given preference during the seat allocation process. However, candidates must also meet other eligibility criteria such as age, nationality, and educational qualifications specified by the regulatory authorities.

AACCC conducts the 15% of admission counseling for the AYUSH Courses at Government, 15 AIIMS and 2 JIPMER colleges, Central Institutions/ Universities/ Deemed Universities, State/ Management/ NRI Quota Seats in Private Ayurveda, Dental, Siddha, Homeopathy, Unani Colleges. Whereas Other 85% of Admission will conducted by the State’s regulatory authorities

NEET 2024 Exam Admission Procedure

Step 1: NEET UG 2024 Examination

NEET 2024 Exam Pattern

NEET (UG) – 2024 has four subjects in its test design. Each subject will be split into two sections. Section A will include 35 questions and Section B will have 15 questions, with candidates having the option to attempt any 10 of the 15 questions. NEET 2024 Admit Card

The NEET 2024 Admit Card is an essential document that candidates must possess to appear for the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) examination. NEET 2024 Exam Dress Code

While appearing for NEET (UG) – 2023, aspirants must adhere to the following dress code:

a. Light, long-sleeved clothing is not permitted. If candidates arrive at the Examination Centre dressed in cultural/traditional attire, they should arrive at least an hour before the last reporting time, i.e. 12.30 pm, to allow enough time for proper frisking without causing any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining the sanctity of the examination.

b. Slippers and low-heeled sandals are permissible. There are no shoes allowed.

c. If any deviation is required due to unforeseen (medical, etc.) circumstances, NTA approval must be obtained prior to the Admit Cards being issued.

The candidates are expected to strictly follow the NTA’s instructions. This will aid the NTA in conducting the examination fairly.

NEET 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

The National Testing Agency (NTA) publishes exam day tips to assist applicants in being cool and having a stress-free exam day. NTA published some extra exam day instructions for NEET last year.

Candidates must be at the exam centre at least an hour before the reporting time, which is 12.30 p.m., in order to fully complete the security checks and frisking procedure.

Before entering the Examination Centre, candidates will be subjected to comprehensive and mandatory frisking using very sensitive metal detectors. The following objects are not permitted to be brought into the Examination Centre under any circumstances.

a) Any item such as printed or written text, bits of paper, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, and so on.

b) Any type of communication equipment, such as a cell phone, Bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, or fitness band.

c) Other accessories such as a wallet, goggles, handbags, belt, cap, and so on.

d) Any watch/wristwatch, bracelet, camera, or other similar item.

f) Any metallic or ornamental things.

g) Any opened or packed food items, water bottle, etc.

g) Any other equipment that could be utilised for unethical purposes by concealing communication devices such as a microchip, camera, Bluetooth device, or other similar devices.
