Meghalaya NEET Counselling 2026 is the admission process for state quota medical and AYUSH seats in Meghalaya based on the NEET UG 2026 result. The counselling and screening process is conducted by the Director of Health Services (Medical Education & Research), Meghalaya.
The state counselling cover BHMS and BAMS admissions at the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy (NEIAH), Shillong, and BAMS seats at IA Ayurvedic Medical College (IAMC), USTM.
For Meghalaya State Quota seats, candidates need to be Meghalaya residents with a Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC), along with the required NEET UG qualification and Class 12 eligibility. IAMC also offers BAMS seats under State, Management and NRI quotas, while NEIAH has 9 BAMS and 9 BHMS seats specifically for Meghalaya candidates. Its remaining seats are allocated through the applicable All India and North Eastern State arrangements.
Meghalaya counselling process includes online application followed by screening and counselling in person at the DME office or another notified venue. The state had invited applications for State Quota BAMS, BHMS and BUMS seats in August 2026, followed by screening and counselling. For IAMC BAMS, separate counselling rounds are being conducted, including Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and Stray Vacancy Rounds.

Conducting Authority
The Office of the Director of Health Services (Medical Education & Research), Pasteur Hills, Lawmali, Shillong conducts state quota counselling.
Two other bodies are involved. Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) fills NEIAH’s 31 All India Quota seats per course at www.aaccc.gov.in. The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) fills the foreign national seat. Candidates should also follow NEET UG Counselling 2026 and AACCC Counselling for All India Quota seats.

The official documents list a foreign passport, Green Card, Permanent Resident Card, proof of foreign residency, or an OCI/PIO card as proof.

The steps below follow the general registration process.
- Go to www.meghealth.gov.in, the official site for the Meghalaya AYUSH Counselling 2026 registration.
- Complete the online application form within the notified dates. Late applications are not accepted.
- Fill in your marks, category status and uploaded documents carefully. The candidate is solely responsible for their accuracy.
- Keep your NEET UG 2026 result sheet ready. The form is invalid without it.
- Pay the Rs.500 application fee through the SB-Collect link given on the portal. Offline payment at counselling is also allowed. SC, OST and ST candidates under State Quota are exempt.
- Check the website for the list of eligible or shortlisted candidates.
- Appear in person with original documents and one set of self-attested copies on the notified date.

Fake ST, SC, OST or PRC certificates lead to legal and criminal action against the candidate and, where applicable, parents or guardians.
Meghalaya AYUSH Counselling 2026 Admission Process and Reporting
- Attend counselling on your notified date with originals and one set of self-attested copies.
- Collect your allotment or nomination letter.
- Report to DME within the date given when the selected list is published, and submit the letter of acceptance. Missing the date cancels your nomination.
- Pay the IAMC first year tuition at admission (Rs.1,25,000 State, Rs.6,00,000 Management, Rs.6,75,000 NRI). Later fees are due on time and are the student’s responsibility.
- Join by the last date of joining. For IAMC Round 1 it was 26 Sep 2026. Round 2 ends 14 Oct, Round 3 ends 3 Nov, and stray vacancy ends 30 Nov 2026.
- At NEIAH, submit the allotment letter, originals and notarised bonds, and complete the Medical Board check. Joining after the stipulated date cancels admission.
NEIAH requires 75% attendance to sit the annual examination.
