Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 is the admission process through which candidates get a seat in BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BSMS undergraduate courses in Government, Aided and Self-Financing AYUSH colleges of Kerala. It is conducted by the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala, as part of the broader KEAM 2026 (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) admission process.
Admission is based on the Kerala State Rank List prepared from NEET UG 2026 scores, the same national-level exam that forms the basis for AYUSH admission across India, whether through AACCC Counselling 2026 at the central level or through state-level AYUSH Counselling 2026 processes. Any candidate included in the Kerala rank list for Ayurveda/Medical courses and meeting the NEET UG 2026 eligibility criteria can participate.

Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 Conducting Authority
Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 is conducted by the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala. CEE handles:
- State Quota seat allotment (State Merit, EWS, SEBC, SC/ST) in Government and Aided AYUSH colleges
- 15% All India Quota seat allotment in Self-Financing Ayurveda/Siddha/Unani colleges, irrespective of the candidate's domicile
- Management Quota seat allotment where common counselling is mandated by the respective central regulatory body
- Minority Quota and NRI Quota seat allotment in Self-Financing colleges with minority status
As per NCISM directives, allotment to state quota seats including Management, NRI and Minority seats, where applicable in Private Self-Financing Ayurveda/Siddha/Unani colleges is done through this common counselling conducted by CEE, not through separate college-level admission.

Eligibility for the rank list (qualifying NEET UG 2026) is different from eligibility for a specific quota. Marks relaxation for SC/ST/SEBC candidates in BAMS/BHMS/BSMS/BUMS courses follows the same academic qualification clauses referenced above, as per AYUSH UG Regulations in force at the time of admission.
Nativity Categories (Keralite/Non-Keralite)
Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 categorises every candidate by nativity, which affects quota eligibility:
- Keralite: A candidate of Kerala origin. Children of All India Service officers (non-Keralite) posted to Kerala cadre are also deemed Keralite, but are not eligible for communal, special, or PwD reservation, or fee concession.
- Non-Keralite Category I (NK I): A candidate not of Kerala origin, but who studied their qualifying course in Kerala as a child of Government of India/Defence personnel posted to Kerala, or of parents who served the Government of Kerala for at least 2 years, or who resided in Kerala for 5 of the last 12 years of study, or who studied in Kerala from Standard VIII to XII. NK I candidates are considered against State Merit seats but are not eligible for communal/special/PwD reservation or fee concession.
- Non-Keralite Category II (NK II): Any candidate who does not fall under Keralite or NK I. For BAMS, BSMS and BUMS courses in Self-Financing colleges, NK II candidates are eligible for the 15% All India Quota seats, allotted irrespective of domicile, based on the NEET UG 2026 rank. NK II candidates are not eligible for Medical courses in Government colleges, nor for communal/special/PwD reservation or fee concession.
Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 Option Registration Process
Since candidates were already ranked through the earlier KEAM 2026 application and NEET UG 2026, the current step for Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 is option registration for allotment. Here is how it works:
- Confirm you are included in the Ayurveda/Medical rank list published by CEE, and that you are eligible for the AYUSH course as per the NEET UG 2026 Information Bulletin.
- Visit www.cee.kerala.gov.in and log in using your KEAM 2026 registration credentials.
- Register fresh options for this phase, options must be given afresh for each phase of allotment; options from an earlier phase or a different stream do not automatically carry over.
- Select and arrange your preferred courses (BAMS, BSMS, BHMS, BUMS) and colleges in order of preference.
- If applicable, indicate your preference for State Quota, Management Quota, Minority Quota, or NRI Quota seats, and upload the relevant certificates for the quota claimed.
- Confirm your options online before the closing time, online option confirmation is mandatory for participating in each phase, unless otherwise notified.
- Pay the applicable option registration fee, if not already paid or exempted.
- Check the Candidate Portal regularly for any defect memos, these are issued only through the portal and via email/SMS/Sandes app, never by post.
Candidates whose rank list results are withheld due to pending document issues can still register options, but their options will not be considered for allotment unless they clear the defects and get their rank released before the closing time of option registration.

The registration fee is refunded, without deduction, to candidates who do not get allotment, once the allotment process is complete, candidates must provide their bank account details for this refund. However, the fee is not refunded and is treated as a penalty if a candidate does not join within the stipulated time after getting an allotment, or quits the seat after taking admission.

Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 Choice Filling (Option Registration)
Choice filling for Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 works through the online option registration system:
- Candidates log in and register options afresh for each phase, options do not carry forward automatically between phases.
- Options are registered for course and college combinations, in order of preference.
- Online option confirmation is mandatory to participate in a phase, unless CEE notifies otherwise.
- Once confirmed, provisional allotment is generated based on rank, options and seat availability, followed by final allotment.
- There is no separate "choice locking" step described beyond the closing time for option registration in each phase, once the window closes, no further changes are possible for that phase.
Candidates should carefully consider their options before the deadline, since allotment is based strictly on merit-cum-option, and a candidate who does not take admission within the stipulated time loses their allotment and is not considered in further centralised allotment for courses in the same stream.

Minority and NRI Quota
Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 includes special provisions for Minority and NRI quota seats in Self-Financing AYUSH colleges with minority status:
- Candidates seeking Minority Quota seats (Christian/Muslim, or specific linguistic minorities) must upload a Community/Minority Certificate from the Village Officer concerned, or rely on religion correctly recorded in their SSLC/Educational Certificate.
- Candidates entitled to a Non-Creamy Layer certificate for SEBC reservation can use that instead of a separate community certificate for the minority claim.
- NRI Quota eligibility extends to candidates dependent on parents, siblings (including first cousins), spouse, or specified relatives working abroad.
- Unallotted Minority and NRI quota seats convert to State Merit or NRI-Open seats, following a defined conversion order, and unallotted Management Quota seats in Aided/Self-Financing AYUSH colleges convert to State Merit seats.

Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 Admission Process After Allotment
Once a seat is allotted under Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026, candidates need to:
- Check the allotment memo on www.cee.kerala.gov.in after the final allotment is published.
- Report to the allotted college within the joining period notified.
- Remit the entire fee shown in the allotment memo directly to the allotted college, before the joining deadline.
- Candidates allotted under SC/ST/OEC/Fishermen category, or those covered under G.O.(MS) 25/2005/SCSTDD and G.O.(MS) 10/2014/BCDD, and those from Sreechitra Home, Juvenile Home and Nirbhaya Home, are exempted from paying tuition fees at admission, unless they are allotted a Management Quota seat, in which case the fee shown in the allotment memo applies without any concession.
- The college confirms admission and submits the list of admitted candidates through OAMS to CEE.
If a candidate does not take admission within the stipulated time, the allotment is lost, and the candidate is not considered for further centralised allotment for courses in the same stream. Candidates are advised to register options only for courses/colleges they are certain to join if allotted.
Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 Merit List (Rank List)
Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 is based directly on the Kerala State Rank List of NEET UG 2026, prepared by CEE. Here is how it works:
- CEE prepares category-wise and course-wise rank lists based on NEET UG 2026 scores of candidates who applied for KEAM 2026 and are eligible for AYUSH courses.
- These rank lists were already published by CEE before the current First Phase Allotment began, since the notification refers to "candidates included in the Ayurveda and Medical rank lists published by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations."
- For BAMS specifically, candidates who studied Sanskrit as a second language at Plus Two can claim weightage in the Ayurveda rank list preparation, on uploading the relevant course certificate.
- Being included in the rank list does not guarantee a seat, allotment depends on rank, options registered, category, quota, and seat availability.

Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 Seat Allotment
Seat allotment under Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026 is merit-cum-option based:
- A provisional allotment list is published first, followed by the final allotment, for each phase.
- Allotment to 15% All India Quota seats in Self-Financing Ayurveda/Siddha/Unani colleges is based on the State Rank List for the respective course, without considering domicile.

A. The First Phase Allotment option registration opened on 17.09.2026 and closed on 22.09.2026 at 2:00 PM. Dates for the Second and Third Phase are yet to be notified.
Q. Who is eligible for Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026?
A. Candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026, passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Biotechnology, and are included in the Kerala rank list for Ayurveda/Medical courses published by CEE, are eligible. BSMS requires Tamil as a studied language, and BUMS requires Urdu, Arabic or Persian, with alternate study provisions if not already covered.
Q. What is the registration fee for Kerala AYUSH Counselling 2026?
A. The option registration fee is Rs. 5,000/- for General and other categories, and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/OEC and similarly covered candidates. This fee is adjusted into the tuition fee or caution deposit on admission and refunded if the candidate is not allotted a seat.

A. BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BSMS are offered, across Government, Aided and Self-Financing colleges affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS).

A. Allotment is merit-cum-option based, using the Kerala State Rank List of NEET UG 2026. A provisional allotment list is published first, followed by a final allotment list, and candidates must join the allotted college and pay the fee within the notified time.

A. Candidates need their SSLC certificate for date of birth proof, and category-specific documents such as a community/caste certificate, EWS certificate, minority certificate, or NRI quota documents, depending on the quota being claimed.
