Gujarat AYUSH Counselling 2026 is the admission process conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate & Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), Government of Gujarat, for admission to first-year BAMS and BHMS courses against the 85% state quota seats in government, grant-in-aid and self-financed Ayurvedic and Homoeopathy colleges of Gujarat.

Admission is based on the candidate’s All India Rank in NEET UG 2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), along with eligibility as per the admission rules of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat, and the respective regulatory councils (NCISM for Ayurveda, NCH for Homoeopathy). Gujarat has already released its official 2026-27 registration schedule.

Gujarat AYUSH Counselling 2026 covers admission to:

• BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
• BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

Both courses are offered across government, grant-in-aid and self-financed Ayurvedic and Homoeopathy colleges affiliated to universities in Gujarat, subject to permission from the respective regulatory council (NCISM for Ayurveda, NCH for Homoeopathy).

Gujarat AYUSH Counselling Conducting Authority

Gujarat AYUSH Counselling 2026 is conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate & Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), constituted under the Gujarat Professional Medical Educational Institutions, Government of Gujarat. The ACPUGMEC office is located at the Ground Floor, GMERS Medical College, Sector-12, Gandhinagar – 382016. ACPUGMEC handles registration, document verification, merit list preparation, and online choice filling and seat allotment for BAMS and BHMS admission under the 85% state quota against NEET UG 2026 merit.

Registration Process (PIN Purchase and Online Registration)

Gujarat AYUSH Counselling 2026 registration involves six major stages: Online Registration & Documents Upload - Document Verification - Merit List Preparation & Publication - Online Choice Filling & Allotment - Payment of Tuition Fees - Original Document Submission. The registration stage itself follows these steps:

• Purchase the PIN online. Visit https://www.medadmgujarat.org/ug/UGAYUS_Home.aspx and pay Rs. 1,000/- (non-refundable) + Rs. 10,000/- (refundable security deposit) = Rs. 11,000/- total, online.
• Register on the main portal. Visit http://medadmgujarat.org/ug/home.aspx to fill in NEET (UG) 2026 and Class 12 details, and authenticate using the purchased PIN.
• Fill in personal and other details, and upload the required documents on the portal.
• Generate a password for the registered account.
• Confirm the filled details before final submission.
• Take a printout of the Registration Details/Slip. While printing, select a preferred date, time slot and Help Center for physical document verification.
• Visit the selected Help Center with original documents and self-attested photocopies of all required documents, on the appointed date and time.
• Obtain the 'Registration Acknowledgement Slip' signed by the nodal officer of the Help Center, which is mandatory to complete the registration process.

This combined fee of Rs. 11,000/- is paid online at the time of PIN purchase, through the official website www.medadmgujarat.org, before registration. Candidates must preserve the PIN until the entire admission process, including any refund process, is complete.

NRI candidates must submit this Rs. 10,000/- processing fee as a Demand Draft in favour of "ACPUGMEC," payable at Gandhinagar, at the Office of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar, at the time of document verification and submission. Applications will not be considered for admission if the Demand Draft is not submitted.

Gujarat AYUSH Counselling 2026 NRI Quota

Gujarat AYUSH Counselling 2026 also covers admission under the NRI (Non-Resident Indian) quota, governed by separate instructions:

• Definition: NRI means a Non-Resident Indian as defined under the Income Tax Act, 1961, read with the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), 1999. Either the candidate or the candidate's parent(s) must be NRI.
• OCI Eligibility: Following the Supreme Court judgment, OCI card holders are eligible for NRI Quota, Management Quota and Government Quota. However, under current Gujarat rules, candidates must have completed Class 10 and Class 12 in schools within Gujarat, as per Admission Rules, and either be born in Gujarat or hold Gujarat domicile, to qualify for Government Quota and Management Quota specifically.
• Eligibility Conditions: The candidate must have obtained minimum qualifying marks in Class 12 as per the regulatory council, appeared in NEET UG 2026 and been declared "Qualified," and completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the admission year.
• Merit List: NRI seat admission is based on a merit list prepared by ACPUGMEC using NEET UG 2026 scores.
• Provisional Eligibility Certificate: Must be obtained from the concerned university within one month of admission.
• Document Requirements: NRI candidates must submit notarized colour photocopies of passports (including blank pages), OCI/PIO documents, residence/citizenship proof, NRI certificates from the Indian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate, and an undertaking regarding fee payment on Rs. 300 stamp paper, among other documents listed in the official NRI checklist. All documents not in English must be translated into English by a competent authority.

Gujarat AYUSH Counselling 2026 Merit List

Gujarat AYUSH Counselling 2026 merit list is prepared by ACPUGMEC purely on the basis of the candidate's All India Rank in NEET (UG) 2026, after the registration and document verification process is complete.

• After registration, ACPUGMEC prepares and declares the merit list of all eligible candidates.
• Candidates must verify their merit number and category as mentioned in their registration details.
• The list of participating institutes, along with fee details, is published on the official website. Only colleges that have received permission from the respective council (NCISM for Ayurveda, NCH for Homoeopathy) are considered for the admission process.

Gujarat AYUSH Counselling 2026 Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

Once the merit list is declared, Gujarat AYUSH Counselling 2026 proceeds to online choice filling and seat allotment:

• Choice filling initiated for each round. After the merit list is published, ACPUGMEC opens online choice filling separately for each counselling round.
• Seat allotment processed after choice filling closes. Once the choice filling period ends, ACPUGMEC processes seat allotment and declares the allotment status on the website.
• Check allotment status. Candidates can view their allotment status by logging in with their own User ID on the ACPUGMEC portal.
• Payment of tuition fee. The candidate must pay the tuition fee of the allotted institute by cash/Demand Draft at a designated bank branch, or through online payment, within the time limit specified by ACPUGMEC.
• Submit original documents to confirm admission. The candidate must submit the original documents (as per their category), along with the Allotment Letter of that round and the Tuition Fee payment receipt, at the appointed Help Center.
• Candidates who fail to pay the prescribed fee and submit original documents within the given time will not be granted admission under any circumstances.
