Admission Process
Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC’s) function is confined to the administration of centralized counseling, which includes online registration, document verification, online/offline counseling procedures, seat allotment, and the issuance of admission orders based on the NEET UG for the current academic year.
While filling out the online registration form at http://medadmgujarat.org/ug/home.aspx, candidates are recommended to read the user manual on the registration portal.
The candidate is responsible for ensuring that all information supplied during the online registration procedure is correct.
PREPARATION AND PUBLICATION OF MERIT LIST
ACPUGMEC will create and announce a merit list of all eligible candidates following the registration process. The candidate must confirm the merit number and category as stated in the registration data.
For NRI: ACPUGMEC would award admission to non-resident Indian seats based on inter-SE merit based on: All India Overall Rank at the NEET-UG examination current academic year from among the applicants who have sought admission to the Non-Resident Indian seats.
ONLINE CHOICE FILLING & ALLOTMENT OF ADMISSION
Following the announcement of the merit list, each round’s choice filling will begin online. To raise awareness about the online allotment process, a mock round may be held before the actual first round of options filling. Mock round allocation will not be treated as true (actual) allocation. Following the Mock round, the actual first round will take place. Candidates may make new options or change previously made ones.
After the option-filling period has ended, the ACPUGMEC will handle seat allotment and post the status of allotment on the internet. Candidates can view their allotment status by logging in with their User ID.
PAYMENT OF TUITION FEES
The candidate must pay the required tuition fees of his assigned institute in cash/DD at any of the recognized bank branches or online within the time limit given by the ACPUGMEC.
For the NRI category: The candidate who has been assigned a seat in the NRI category must pay Rs. 5.00 lakh (as Refundable Deposit) via online payment gateway or cash or Demand Draft in favor of “ACPUGMEC” payable at Gandhinagar in the selected bank’s branches approved by ACPUGMEC in the specified bank’s branches. Students must next confirm their admission by providing the Original Documents Help Center. The candidate must next pay the prescribed tuition costs in US dollars or the equivalent amount in any other foreign currency within the time frame specified at the admitted institute. If a candidate fails to submit this amount at the admitted institute within the term specified, the admission will be considered canceled. After the admission procedure is completed, ACPUGMEC will reimburse the Rs. 5.00 lakh deposit.
Online Application and Registration:
The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) hereby notifies all applicants that all admissions-related activities outlined here must be completed within the allotted time frame. Applicants should also refer to the admission schedule posted from time to time on http://medadmgujarat.org/ug/home.aspx.
Step-1: PIN can be purchased at the website: http://medadmgujarat.org/ug/home.aspx by making an online payment of Rs. 200/- (Non-refundable)
Step-2:
- After purchasing a PIN, the individual must apply online at http://medadmgujarat.org/ug/home.aspx.
- After registration completion, take a print of the Registration details.
- The candidate must make a previous appointment at the Help Center for document verification and the submission of photocopies of documents. When printing the Registration details, the candidate can choose the Date, Time frame, and Help Center for Document Verification.
Step-3:
- Bring original documentation to the designated service center. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents to their Registration information and submit them to the Help Centers.
- To complete the registration process, the candidate must get a ‘Registration Acknowledgement Slip’ signed by the nodal officer of the respective support center.
- Document verification and submission for candidates applying for NRI Quota will take place exclusively at the ACPUGMEC Office, Ground Floor, GMERS Medical College, Civil Hospital Campus, Gandhinagar – 382016, Gujarat. They must pay a processing fee of Rs. 10,000/- (Non-Refundable) in the favour of ‘ACPUGMEC’, payable in Gandhinagar, exclusively at the Office of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar, at the time of document verification and submission.
Step-4:
- The merit list will be compiled following the guidelines of the Health and Family Welfare Department Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, and published on the ACPUGMEC official website.
- The website will be updated with a detailed program for online counseling, seat matrix, and fee structure in due course.
Important:
- Wait for the merit list after submitting documents to the appropriate centers.
- The website will contain a list of participating institutes as well as cost information. Only colleges with authorization from the respective council (MCI/DCI/CCIM/AYUSH) will be accepted for admission.
- ACPUGMEC will create a merit list based on the All India Rank of NEET-UG.
- The candidate must keep the PIN until the entire admission procedure, including the refund process, is finished.
Reporting: A candidate who fails to appear for counseling on the scheduled day and time will be denied admission.
COUNSELING:
CANDIDATE, WHOSE ALLOTMENT HAVE NOT BEEN UPGRADED
- Candidates whose allotment was not upgraded (no change in admitted college) in the second or subsequent rounds are not required to report to the support center.
IMPORTANT: There is no need to report to the help center for confirmation of admission
for candidates who have participated or have not participated in the 2nd Round and
subsequent Rounds. The admission of the previous round can also be upgraded in the same
college by a change of admission category (i.e. ST / SC / SEBC / EWS to General category or
PwD to non-PwD seat) or change of quota (General Quota to Local Quota).
THE CANDIDATE, WHOSE ALLOTMENT HAVE BEEN UPGRADED
Candidates whose allotment has been upgraded (change in admitted college) in the
second or later round must report to the assistance center for admission confirmation in
order to receive an Admission Order for that round. Otherwise, the round’s permitted
entrance will be automatically canceled.
For NRI Candidate: Since the candidate’s seat in the current round has been elevated,
his/her admission in the prior round is immediately annulled. If this candidate does not
confirm the improved seat allotment, the current round of admission will be immediately
terminated. As a result, the current and previous round admissions were canceled.
Process for Participation for the 2nd Round and Subsequent Round
All applicants on the ACPUGMEC Merit List are eligible to participate in the second and
following rounds, regardless of previous round admission status.
According to the Merit Closure Rule of the UG Admission Rules, in the second and later
rounds, the candidate will not be awarded admission to the seats available based on
his/her merit in the preceding Round’s allotment process.
If an applicant does not participate in the previous round of ACPUGMEC, he/ she will not
be offered admission to the seats available based on his/ her merit in the previous
round’s allotment process.
To participate in the second and subsequent rounds, candidates must log in to the
website www.medadmgujarat.org with their User-ID and Password and provide ONLINE
CONSENT for participation in the second and following rounds.
Applicants can change/switch/add/delete their filled choices from the earlier round.
If a candidate who has stated their admission in the previous round and provided
an agreement to participate in the second and following rounds is assigned a new different
seat, their admission in the first round will be automatically revoked.
Mop-Up (Offline) Round of Counseling
All candidates on the ACPUGMEC Merit List are eligible to participate in the mop-up (offline) round of counseling, regardless of prior round admission status.
All applicants who wish to participate in the mop-up (offline) round must provide ONLINE CONSENT for participation in the mop-up round.
The applicant may participate in the mop-up round without forfeiting their entry to the preceding rounds.
Candidates must log on to the website http://medadmgujarat.org/ug/home.aspx to participate in the mop-up round. utilizing their User ID and Password to provide ONLINE CONSENT within the time restriction specified
Students must take a printout of “Consent” available in “Registration Details” after giving consent, which shows the date and time of consent granted by him/her.
The candidate must be present on the assigned date and time at the designated location. Students are instructed to present a copy of their online consent to offline counseling.
All candidates are instructed to check the vacancy status for the Mop-up round and the closing of the preceding round. The admission committee will allot seats based on available vacancies as well as vacancies that occur owing to the cascade effect of that particular seat.
Candidates will be contacted based on their merit rank and will be assigned to vacant seats as well as seats that become available due to seat upgrades during counseling. During the mop-up round of counseling, candidates will be offered seats based on the prior closure, vacancy, and merit rank. If a candidate does not wish to accept the given seat, he or she may decline admission. In that situation, his/her earlier admission will prevail.
In the mop-up round of counseling, no authority letter or proxy will be permitted.
Without the needed original documents and fees, the candidate will not be admitted under any circumstances.
Process of Fee Refund
After the admissions process is completed, the refund process will begin.
Applicants who have been enrolled through ACPUGMEC and are eligible for a tuition fee refund must fill out the Admission Module with information about their refund, admitted institute, and bank account (Bank Name, Account Holder Name, Bank Account No., Bank MICR No., IFSC No.).
The refund will be deposited into their bank account via electronic transfer.
If an error is discovered in the reimbursement details, please notify ACPUGMEC at the following email address: medadmgujarat2018@gmail.com.
A confirmation message will be sent to the primary mobile number provided by the candidate/parent. Once the candidate confirms his or her bank information, the refund will be credited to his or her account.
For NRI Applicants: NRI Candidates must fill up the Indian Account details in order to receive a refund for fees paid at ACPUGMEC. Fill up the NRE/NRO account information.
