Jammu and Kashmir AYUSH Counselling 2026 is the admission process for BAMS, BUMS and BHMS courses in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The counselling for UT seats is conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) based on the merit of NEET UG 2026. For AYUSH admissions, the courses and academic syllabus are governed by National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH).
Candidates who are domiciles of Jammu and Kashmir or Ladakh and meet the required NEET UG, Class 12 and other eligibility conditions can participate in the UT counselling. Candidates who had already applied for MBBS, BDS, DDH or DDM but could not secure a seat may also be eligible to submit their preferences for AYUSH courses. For All India Quota (AIQ) seats, AYUSH counselling is conducted separately by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).
The registration for BAMS and BUMS initially opened on 10 September 2026, while the portal was later reopened for BAMS, BUMS and BHMS from 18 to 20 September 2026 with a non-refundable preference fee of Rs.1,500.

Registration eligibility means you are NEET UG 2026 qualified and a domicile of the UT. Course eligibility means your Class 12 marks and subjects also meet the AYUSH-specific criteria below.

Jammu and Kashmir AYUSH Counselling 2026 registration happens entirely online on www.jkbopee.gov.in.
- Go to www.jkbopee.gov.in and open the AYUSH (BAMS/BUMS/BHMS) registration link during the notified window.
- If you already registered for MBBS/BDS/DDH/DDM and did not get a seat, you do not need to register afresh, except to update your category if you had opted for P&B, since there is no P&B category in AYUSH government colleges.
- If you are registering fresh for AYUSH, enter your NEET UG 2026 details, personal details, contact details and academic details.
- Select your category and, where applicable, your sub-category.
- Upload the required documents (see the list below) within the registration window.
- Candidates who already paid the online fee while applying for MBBS/BDS/DDH/DDM need not pay again. Candidates newly registering or declared eligible for AYUSH must pay the Rs. 1,500 online fee.
- After registration closes, JKBOPEE prepares and notifies the Provisional Merit List (PML).
- Check the PML and file objections, if any, before the notified deadline.
- Once choice filling opens, log in and fill your preferences for colleges and courses.
- Lock and submit your choices before the choice filling window closes. If you neither delete nor submit your filled choices, the Board treats them as locked and submitted automatically once the window closes.
Do not wait until the last date to register or upload documents, since JKBOPEE explicitly warns that admissions are a time-bound process.

Upload these documents online during the registration window, as specified in the Board’s notifications.
- NEET UG 2026 Score Card – All candidates
- 10+2 marks card – All candidates
- Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K – All candidates. For candidates belonging to the UT of Ladakh, an ST category – certificate applies instead
- Category Certificate – Wherever a reserved category or sub-category is claimed
- Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation) – All candidates
Notes on certificates:
- No under-process certificate is accepted.
- Certificates must be valid up to the last date of registration, that is 20.09.2026.
- Any certificate issued after the last date of registration is not entertained under any circumstances.
- Do not use a mobile phone to upload documents, since the software does not accept uploads made through mobile devices.

Jammu and Kashmir AYUSH Counselling 2026 choice filling opened after the Provisional Merit List and objection period.
- Check the seat matrix, published on www.jkbopee.gov.in before choice filling begins, to see which colleges and courses have open seats.
- Select your course and college preferences online, in the order you want them considered.
- You can edit your filled preferences by clicking the delete button, as long as the window is open.
- Once satisfied, lock your choices and click submit. If you neither delete nor submit, the Board automatically treats your last filled choices as locked and submitted when the window closes.
- No future grievance about the choices filled will be entertained once submitted or auto-locked.
- JKBOPEE allows modification of preferences in the upgradation or final round in the same manner as for MBBS/BDS courses.
Jammu and Kashmir AYUSH Counselling 2026 Admission Process
JKBOPEE follows a defined procedure before any candidate is called for online submission of preferences.
Rules Governing Admission
- The qualifying percentile must match the cut-off score fixed by NTA.
- This is only the bare minimum. JKBOPEE calls only as many eligible candidates for online preference submission as it considers fit.
- A candidate who falls in the qualifying zone but fails to upload documents by the stipulated date is not considered for seat allotment, regardless of their NEET UG 2026 score.
- A candidate who does not meet the minimum eligibility percentile or score prescribed in the regulations, or by NTA, is not admitted to any MBBS/BDS UG course, and by extension any AYUSH UG course, for the 2026-27 academic year.
Socially and Educationally Backward Classes
“Socially and Educationally Backward Classes” is a reservation category made up of RBA, ALC, IB and OBC. NEET online application form had no separate column for these categories, such candidates apply under Open Merit in NEET itself. NTA’s NEET Brochure clarifies how admission works for seats other than the 15% All India Quota:
- Admission under State/UT quota seats follows the Reservation Policy and eligibility criteria notified by the UT of Jammu and Kashmir from time to time.
- Reservation of seats in medical (and AYUSH) colleges for each category follows the applicable laws in force in the UT.
- Admission to undergraduate courses in Private colleges follows the policies of the Government of India and the UT.
Certificate Verification and Cancellation of Admission
- JKBOPEE is not responsible for the genuineness of certificates such as date of birth, 12th Class marks card, domicile, or category certificates, including EWS, uploaded by candidates during online registration.
- Uploading genuine certification is the sole responsibility of the candidate.
- If the Board or a college receives a complaint against a provisionally selected candidate regarding their certificates, the college where the candidate is provisionally admitted verifies the certificate directly with the concerned competent authority.
- If a certificate is found to be fake or not genuine, JKBOPEE can cancel that candidate’s admission at any stage, even after admission is complete.
