EB Gadkari Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Gadhinglaj Kolhapur is one of Maharashtra’s most prestigious homoeopathic colleges. EBGHMC Kolhapur is the college’s popular name. It was founded in 1991.
E. B. Gadkari Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Gadhinglaj of Disha Shikshan –V- Vikas Kendra is located in the MIDC Area of Gadhinglaj City, a sub-district in Maharashtra, India. With effect from the academic year, the institution offers a BHMS Degree course in the Homoeopathic System of Medicine, as recommended by the National Commission For Homeopathy (NCH) New Delhi and recognized by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
From the academic year 1991–92, the college was recognized by the Maharashtra government for offering a degree programme in homoeopathy. I was previously affiliated with Shivaji University in Kolhapur, and from the academic year 1998-99 it was affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in Nashik.
The college’s ALUMINI (ex-students) are performing well in private practice, including Classical Homoeopaths and Family Physicians. Some of them are also employed in other positions/fields both in the country and overseas.
A sincere effort has been made to meet all of the college’s standards. The overall strategy is to recruit and motivate students to get more involved in the Homoeopathic Medicine system, and to turn this college into a research centre shortly. All MD (Hom) courses will begin soon.
