Important Notification for UP AYUSH UG / PG counselling 2023-24

In a recent announcement, authorities have disclosed the initiation of the admission process for Ayurvedic, Unani, and Homeopathic medical colleges across both government and private sectors. This admission process pertains to programs such as BAMS, BUMS, and BHMS, and will be facilitated through the NEET UG-2023 entrance examination. Furthermore, the admission to MD/MS courses in these disciplines will also be conducted through the AIAPGET 2023 examination, taking into account the merit derived from NEET UG-2023 and AIAPGET 2023.

Aspiring candidates who have been deemed eligible based on the NEET 2023 and AIAPGET 2023 result lists are strongly advised to meticulously review the provided information. This step is crucial to prevent any complications that may arise during the registration and counseling processes. By ensuring a thorough understanding of the admission requirements, candidates can streamline their application procedures and minimize any potential issues.

Candidates are also encouraged to regularly visit the official website of the Central Counseling Committee at www.aaccc.gov.in for updates. Additionally, the details brochure-2022, which will be updated for the current year, should be closely examined for relevant information.

For successful registration in the UP AYUSH UG Counseling / UP AYUSH PG Counseling, candidates are required to provide the following documents:

Admission to BAMS, BUMS, and BHMS

  • NEET UG-2023 Admit Card and Score Card
  • High School or equivalent, Intermediate or equivalent exam mark sheet, certificate, and exam admit card.
  • Proof of residence in Uttar Pradesh (For candidates who have passed the high school or equivalent, intermediate or equivalent exam from a state other than Uttar Pradesh).
  • A photograph matching the negative used during the NEET UG-2023 application upload.
  • Valid caste certificate issued by the competent authority of the Uttar Pradesh government for reserved categories. Vertical and horizontal reservations will be implemented in accordance with Uttar Pradesh government directives.
  • Certificates for Other Backward Classes – Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) reservation should be issued on or after April 1, 2023. Certificates from other states, Union Territories, or the Uttar Pradesh state for Central Government employment will not be accepted.
  • For Divyangjan (PwD) reservation, valid certificates issued by the Central AYUSH Admission Advisory Committee, Ministry of AYUSH , Government of India, from designated centers for the academic session 2023-24 will be considered.
  • Valid certificates issued by the respective district magistrate will be considered for the reservation of freedom fighters’ dependents (FF).
  • For the reservation of ex-servicemen (disabled/disabled in war/service, martyrs), certificates issued by the Soldier Welfare Board and attested by the district magistrate will be considered.
  • National Cadet Corps (NCC) candidates with a minimum ‘B’ grading, including ‘C’ certificate, will be considered eligible.
  • Scheduled Caste candidates will be eligible for the appropriate category reservation upon presenting a valid category certificate.
  • In the absence of Aadhaar, PAN card/passport/driving license or a photo-bearing bank passbook will serve as valid identity proof.
  • For Intermediate or equivalent exam, specific percentage requirements apply for different categories.

Admission to MD/MS Courses

  • AIAPGET-2023 Admit Card and Score Card.
  • High School or equivalent, Intermediate or equivalent exam mark sheet, certificate, exam admit card, and relevant qualification and scorecard.
  • Proof of residence in Uttar Pradesh for candidates from other states.
  • A photograph matching the negative used during the AIAPGET-2023 application upload.
  • Valid caste certificate issued by the competent authority of the Uttar Pradesh government for reserved categories. Vertical and horizontal reservations will be implemented in accordance with Uttar Pradesh government directives.
  • Certificates for Divyangjan (PwD) reservation should be issued as per the prescribed format by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
  • Scheduled Caste candidates will be eligible for the appropriate category reservation upon presenting a valid category certificate.
  • In the absence of Aadhaar, PAN card/passport/driving license or a photo-bearing bank passbook will serve as valid identity proof.
  • Fulfillment of eligibility criteria as per the determined date by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, is required.
  • For admission to government Ayurvedic colleges, registration with the UP Ayurveda Chikitsa Board is mandatory.
