Government BSMS College in Daman & Diu is absent from the state. Despite the growing demand for qualified Siddha medicine professionals, Daman and Diu currently lacks its own Government BSMS College that offers the Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS) program. This absence, however, does not diminish the potential for the future.
The importance of increasing access to both alternative and traditional healthcare options is growing. Establishing a BSMS institution in Daman and Diu might make a substantial contribution to this trend and provide several benefits to the region. It would attract aspiring students, create job possibilities, and eventually improve the community’s overall well-being. While there is now no government BSMS college, this does not rule out the possibility of one in the future. As the need for Siddha medicine increases and educational infrastructure rises, Daman & Diu may see the emergence of its own BSMS college, meeting a critical need for the region and its people.
