Jammu and Kashmir AYUSH counselling is an important process for securing admission into AYUSH courses in the state. The counselling is categorized into two main types based on the overseeing authority and the quota of seats being filled. AACCC conducts counselling for 15% seats in government AYUSH colleges and State counselling authority conducts counselling for 85% seats in government AYUSH colleges and 100% seats in Private colleges in Jammu and Kashmir. 

Jammu and Kashmir Counselling Process – State Quota

  1. Candidate Registration
  • Website: Candidates must register on the official website of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) at https://www.jkbopee.gov.in.
  • Timeline: Registration must be completed within the specified timeframe as announced by the JKBOPEE.

2. Document Verification

  • Verification Centers: Candidates are required to visit designated verification centers with their original documents and photocopies.

3. Merit List Publication

  • Preparation: The counselling authority prepares a merit list based on the candidates’ educational qualifications, entrance exam scores (if applicable), and reservation criteria.
  • Publication: The merit list is published on the official JKBOPEE website.

4. Choice Filling and Locking

  • Portal Access: Eligible candidates can log in to the counselling portal to select their preferred AYUSH courses and institutions.
  • Choices: Candidates must fill in their choices of courses and colleges and lock their preferences before the deadline.

5. Seat Allotment (Round 1)

  • Allocation: Seats are allotted based on the candidates’ choices and their merit rank.
  • Result Publication: The seat allotment result is published online on the JKBOPEE website.

6. Reporting to Allotted College (Round 1)

  • Decision: Candidates who are allotted a seat must either accept the seat and report to the college or reject the seat.
  • Formalities: Those accepting the seat must complete the admission formalities at the allotted college, which includes paying the admission fees and submitting the required documents.

7. New Registration (Round 2)

  • Eligibility: Candidates who did not register in the first round can register in the second round.

8. Fresh Choice Filling and Locking (Round 2)

  • Process: Similar to the first round, candidates need to fill and lock their choices for courses and colleges.

9. Seat Allotment (Round 2)

  • Allocation: The seat allotment process for the second round follows the same procedure as the first round.
  • Result Publication: The result is published online.

10. Reporting to Allotted College (Round 2)

Stray Vacancy Round for Deemed UniversityAll registered candidates who have not been admitted to any of the seats through AACCC-UG counseling or counseling conducted by State/UTs are eligible for Stray Vacancy Round.AACCC, M/o Ayush will send a list of eligible registered candidates to Deemed Universities, which is to be exercised strictly in order of merit in the Stray Vacancy Round.The seats are domicile-free, and only registered candidates of AACCC-UG counseling are eligible for admission.3. List of ineligible candidates will be circulated to concerned State/UT counseling authorities, National Institutes/Central Universities/Deemed Universities for prohibiting them to participate in any other AYUSH counseling (Central/State/UT/Nominated seat, etc.).

Note: It is mandatory for all candidates to take admission on their upgraded seats in the 3rd Round from Round 1 & 2 admitted seats. Such candidates, if not joined in the upgraded seats, are ineligible for any further AYUSH counseling (Central/State/UT/Central Pool Quota) and their security money will be forfeited.

Refundable Security Fee

The refundable security fee will be refunded to candidates after joining the allotted college within the stipulated time mentioned in the schedule. If a candidate does not get any seat during all rounds of counseling, the security fee will be refunded to the bank account provided by the candidate at the time of registration for AACCC counseling.
