Private BAMS Colleges in Karnataka serve a substantial part in fulfilling the growing need for qualified Ayurvedic practitioners in the state. As per NCISM there are 80 private BAMS Colleges with 5500 BAMS Seats.
Admission in these colleges will be based on NEET Exam rank. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will conduct counselling for 85% seats in government AYUSH colleges and 15% seats in Private AYUSH Colleges. Counselling for 15% government AYUSH colleges will be conducted by AACCC.

Karnataka AYUSH Counselling
Karnataka AYUSH counselling is an important process for securing admission into AYUSH courses in the state. The counselling is categorized into two main types based on the overseeing authority and the quota of seats being filled. AACCC conducts counselling for 15% seats in government AYUSH colleges and State counselling authority conducts counselling for 85% seats in government AYUSH colleges and 100% seats in Private colleges in Karnataka.
Counselling Registration Process – State Quota
Step 1: Online Registration
- Visit the KEA website: http://kea.kar.nic.in.
- Select “UGNEET-2024 Online Registration” and enter all the required details through the online registration portal.
Step 2: Login
- Use your USER ID and Password to log in.
- Begin entering your details stage by stage, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
Step 3: Upload Documents
- Upload the scanned copies of the following documents in JPG/JPEG format:
- Recent passport-size color photograph, Signature & Left-hand thumb impression
Step 4: Verify Entries
- Before finalizing, take a draft printout and verify all the entered details.
- If there are no changes required, select the declaration to confirm your entries.
Step 5: Payment of Fees
- Follow the payment gateway procedures as mentioned on the website to pay the application fees.
Step 6: Print Application Form
- Take a printout of the completed application form on A-4 size paper.
- This printed copy should be kept safe and produced for document verification.
Karnataka AYUSH Counselling Process – State Quota
Step 1: Online Registration
The first step in the counseling process is to register online. To do this, visit the official Karnataka AYUSH Counseling website. Step 2: Document Verification

Step 3: Option Entry
After your documents are verified, you will gain access to an online portal. Here, you can enter your preferred choices of courses and colleges. Step 4: Seat Allotment

Refundable Security Fee
The refundable security fee will be refunded to candidates after joining the allotted college within the stipulated time mentioned in the schedule. If a candidate does not get any seat during all rounds of counseling, the security fee will be refunded to the bank account provided by the candidate at the time of registration for AACCC counseling.
