The National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) was established by an act of Parliament known as The National Commission for Homoeopathy Act, 2020, which went into effect on July 5, 2021, via gazette notification. Following that, the Board of Governors in supersession of the Central Council of Homoeopathy, established under Section 3 of The Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973, is dissolved. The National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) acts as a statutory body that conducts co-ordinates, evolves, promulgates, and encourages education in homeopathy In India.
With the vision of improving access to quality and affordable medical education in Homoeopathy and guaranteeing the availability of sufficient and impeccable Homoeopathy medical practitioners in all parts of the country, as well as promoting equal and fair and ubiquitous health services that tend to encourage community health perspective and helps make Homoeopathy medical professionals’ services accessible and affordable to all citizens; The University has taken upon the mission to encourage homeopathic healthcare practitioners to use the most modern research studies in their practice and also to contribute to research and to maintain high ethical standards in all aspects of medical care.

National Commission for Homeopathy (NCH) Functions
- Establish policies for maintaining high quality and standards in Homoeopathic medical education and make necessary regulations in regard.
- Planning and scheduling for governing homeopathic medical institutions, medical research, and homeopathic medical professionals, and enforcing necessary regulations.
- Create guidelines and policies by enacting regulatory requirements needed for the proper operation of the Commission, Autonomous Boards, and State Medical Councils of Homoeopathy.
- Evaluate healthcare necessities, including human resources for health and healthcare connectivity, and create a comprehensive strategy for meeting such requirements.
- Take Necessary measures to ensure that the State Medical Councils of Homoeopathy adhere to the rules framed and regulations made under the Act in order for them to function effectively.
NCH Approved Course of Study (UG)
- The BHMS (Degree) Course of Study shall consist of a Course of Study consisting of the Curriculum and Syllabus provided in these regulations spread over a period of 512 years, including a one-year mandatory Internship after passing the Final Degree Examination.
- After passing the final BHMS examination, every candidate must complete a twelve-month mandatory internship as outlined in Annexure ‘A’ attached to these regulations.
- The concerned University shall award the Degree to such candidates upon successful completion of the internship and on the recommendation of the Principal of the Homeopathic College concerned.
