Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College Ernakulam founded in 2002 under the sponsorship of the Nangelil Charitable Trust marked a turning point in the development of the Nangelil network of institutions. In light of the available resources, the government of Kerala issued consent and approval for the establishment of the Ayurveda college. Permission was also given to hold paramedical courses here.
The Ayurveda Acharya (BAMS) 5 & 1/2-year course is offered by this self-supporting college and was planned and approved by the National Commission for Indian System Of Medicine- NCISM. It was founded with the intention of passing on the true wisdom of Ayurveda. The trust’s board of directors has full control over how the College is operated.
From 2001 to 2002, the college was connected with Mahatma Gandhi University for degree courses, and in 2010, it was associated with Kerala University for Health Sciences. Until the academic year 2009-10, admission to degree programmes was handled by M.G University. The first batch of KUHS students were admitted in the academic year 2010-2011.
