National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM) in Bangalore has operated since 2004 as an academic activity, as an autonomous organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. It was initially founded in 1984 as a goal and will serve as a model for postgraduate education, teaching, training, and research in the Unani System of Medicine.
The Institute offers postgraduate courses in ten disciplines: Moalajat (Medicine), Ilmul Advia (Pharmacology), Tahaffuzi wa Samaji Tib (Preventive and Social Medicine), Ilmul Qabalat wa Amraze Niswan (Obstetrics and Gynaecology), Ilmul Saidla (Pharmacy), Kulliyat (Basic Principles), Ilaj bit Tadbeer (Regimental Therapy), Ilmul Jar (Pathology). This Institute is the first in the country to offer a PhD programme in Unani Medicine beginning in the 2014-15 academic year. Currently, the institute offers PhD programmes in two fields: Moalajat (Medicine) and Ilmul Advia (Pharmacology).
The campus now includes an Academic Block, a Hospital Building, a Library, a Pharmacy, an Administrative Block, a Herbal Garden, an Animal House, a Guest House, an Indoor Games Hall, Hostels, Residential Blocks, and other units. To improve teaching and research standards, the Institute also collaborates with premier scientific institutions such as NIMHANS Bangalore and Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy Bangalore.

Counselling Registration
Step 1- Visit the Official Website: Go to the official website designated for Karnataka Ayush Counselling.
Step 2 – Register Online: Look for the registration link and click on it. Fill in your personal details like name, date of birth, and contact information.
Step 3 – Upload Documents: Scan and upload the required documents such as educational certificates, mark sheets, identity proof, and domicile certificates. Make sure to follow the specified guidelines for file format and size.
Step 4 – Pay Registration Fee: Make the payment of the registration fee through the available online payment options. The fee amount and payment details will be mentioned on the website.
Step 5 – Review and Submit: Double-check all the information you have entered and uploaded documents for accuracy. Once you are satisfied, submit the registration form.

Counselling Process
Step 1- Online Registration: Visit the official website designated for Karnataka Ayush Counselling and register online by providing your personal details and contact information.
Step 2 – Document Verification: Upload the required documents, such as educational certificates, mark sheets, identity proof, and domicile certificate, as per the guidelines provided. These documents will be verified for authenticity.
Step 3 – Option Entry: Once the document verification is completed, you will be given access to an online portal to enter your preferred choices of courses and colleges. Carefully select your options based on your eligibility and preference.
Step 4 – Seat Allotment: The counselling authority will release a provisional seat allotment list based on the preferences and merit of the candidates. You can check the allotment list online using your login credentials.
Step 5 – Confirmation of Seat: If you are allotted a seat, download your seat allotment letter and report to the allotted college within the specified timeframe. Complete the admission formalities, pay the required fees, and submit the necessary documents for verification.
Step 6 – Sliding and Upgradation: After the initial seat allotment, you may have the opportunity to participate in the sliding or upgradation process. This allows you to upgrade your allotted seat based on the availability of seats in subsequent rounds of counseling, subject to the rules and guidelines specified by the counseling authority.
Step 7 – Reporting to Allotted College: Once you have successfully confirmed your seat, report to the allotted college on the specified date and time. Complete the remaining admission procedures as per the college’s guidelines.

- KEA – 2024 Registration form duly filled (printout) of the online fee paid challan copy as proof for having paid the registration fees.
- NEET Admit/Score/Rank Card
- Two Passport Size colour photographs
- Photo Identity Proof (PAN Card / Driving License / Voter ID / Passport / Aadhar Card / Ration Card)
- Admit card & Score Card issued by NTA, New Delhi.
- SSLC or 10th Standard Marks Card (For date of birth).
- 2nd PUC or 12th standard Marks Card of the Candidate.
- All Candidates must also submit to the Karnataka Examinations Authority a UNDERTAKING on Rs. 20 e-Stamps Paper brought out in their name, as shown in Annexure II. Only by submitting this document will the Candidate’s Document Verification Process be declared complete, and he or she will be eligible for the allocation of a User ID and Secret Key.
- At the time of admission, all selected in-service candidates shall furnish a bond in the form no. 19 specified in KCSRs on stamp paper of value of Rs.100/- binding himself to pay a sum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) as a penalty if he/she leaves the course before its completion and is also barred from appearing for three years.

AACCC Ayush Counselling Online Registration & Process
Below is the simplified steps for AACCC Counselling Online Registration:
- To participate in the AACCC counseling registration 2024, qualified NEET (UG) candidates must register on the AACCC counseling website (www.aaccc.gov.in).
- Candidates are advised to use the same E-mail address and Mobile Number submitted during NEET-UG, 2024 Registration, for registration on the AACCC-UG portal for Counseling.
- The AACCC, Ministry of Ayush will only send information/communication to the registered E-mail or registered Mobile Number.
- The AACCC, Ministry of Ayush will not consider any request to change a registered mobile number or email address.
- To avoid technical complications, candidates are advised to use a Laptop or Computer with the most recent registered version of Chrome/Internet Explorer/Firefox/Windows/IOS during the Registration and Choice-Filling process.
- When registering for the AACCC-UG Portal, use extreme caution. Your allocation will be based on the information you provided during registration.
- Candidates are advised to download the ‘Sandes app’ for OTP on their registered phone number in order to register.
AACCC Counselling Process
ROUND 1: ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION

- Candidates joined the allotted seat in the 2nd Round and submitted willingness for up-gradation in the AACCC counseling 3rd Round.
- Candidates who leave/resign the allotted seat in the 2nd Round, with forfeiture of Security money, three days before the commencement of the 3rd Round, can participate with payment of complete fees.
PROCESS:
Step 1: Registration for AACCC-UG Counseling. (Those candidates who participated in 1 st Round/2nd Round need not be registered again)

STRAY VACANCY ROUND FOR AIQG/AIQGA/CU/NI
“Seats that remain vacant (not joined/withdrawn) after the 3rd/Mop-up Round of AACCC-UG Counseling of Govt./Govt. Aided colleges/CU/NI will be filled through the AACCC, Ministry of Ayush’s online Stray Vacancy Round”
ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION:
All registered candidates who were not admitted to any of the seats through AACCC-UG counseling or state/UT counseling are eligible for the Stray Vacancy Round.
PROCESS:
- There is no Fresh Registration in the Stray Vacancy Round.
- Candidates must submit a willingness in the AACCC-UG portal to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round with an undertaking that they are not holding any UG (ASU&H) seats allotted through AACCC-UG counseling or counseling conducted by State/UTs.
- Option for choice filling is available in the Stray Vacancy Round.
- No upgradation is available from the 3rd/ Mop-up Round to the Stray Vacancy Round.
STRAY VACANCY ROUND FOR DEEMED UNIVERSITY
- The Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted by the respective Deemed Universities at their own level for seat allotment under Deemed Universities.
- AACCC, M/o Ayush will send a list of eligible registered candidates to Deemed Universities for the Stray Vacancy Round, which will be exercised strictly in order of merit.
- The seats are domicile-free, and only registered AACCC – UG counseling candidates are eligible for admission.
Note: In addition, a list of ineligible candidates will be distributed to the appropriate State/UT counselling authorities, National Institutes/Central Universities/Deemed Universities for the purpose of prohibiting them from participating in any other AYUSH counseling (Central/State/UT/Nominated seat, etc.)

AACCC Counselling Documents Required (Original along with attested photocopies of documents) at the time of joining in allotted AYUSH College are as below:
