Government BUMS College in Jharkhand is notably absent, and unfortunately, there are no Private BUMS Colleges in the state either. BUMS, or Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery, is a program that integrates traditional Unani medicine with contemporary medical principles. As per National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) there are no government BUMS colleges in Jharkhand. As there are no colleges in the state, students who want to pursue their education in the same course can take admission in nearby open states by participating in AACCC counselling under All India Quota seats. AACCC conducts counselling for 15% seats in Government colleges. Students must be eligible with AACCC counselling criteria and admission will be based on NEET Exam rank.
The AYUSH Counseling process is essential for securing admission in BUMS colleges in Jharkhand. Students with an eligible NEET exam score can take admission through counseling in these colleges. Jharkhand AYUSH Counseling will be conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) for admission in 85% seats in government BUMS colleges and 100% seats in private BUMS colleges. The remaining 15% of seats in government colleges will be managed by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).
