BUMS Colleges in Goa: Goa is an Indian state on the western coast. It is India’s smallest state in terms of area and the fourth smallest in terms of population. Goa State is bordered to the north by Maharashtra and to the east and south by Karnataka. There are some prestigious state-run colleges in Goa that offer degrees in a variety of professional courses, but the state lacks an unani college.
What is the Unani system of medicine?
Unani medicine is one of the seven Ayush systems of alternative medicine that is thought to have originated in ancient Greece thousands of years ago but is now primarily practiced in India. This medical system focuses on disease prevention and treatment through the use of herbal remedies, dietary changes, and alternative therapies.
After Allopathy, Ayurveda, and Homoeopathy, it is the fourth most popular traditional and complementary system of medicine practiced in India. It works on the premise that the body has its own self-healing ability that needs to be enhanced.
The government is working very hard on it. Hopefully, there will be several Unani colleges in Goa In the near future. Goa residents may apply for admission to any other state’s unani colleges.
