The counselling is conducted by the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Puducherry, based on the NEET UG 2026 rank. It covers BAMS admission at Rajiv Gandhi Ayurveda Medical College (RGAMC), Mahe, along with sponsored BSMS, BUMS and BHMS seats available for eligible Puducherry candidates in selected government colleges in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
For BAMS, the RGAMC, Mahe seat matrix mentions 63 total seats, with seats distributed among CENTAC, All India Quota, Malaysian and NRI categories, subject to the seat matrix notified by CENTAC. The 15% All India Quota seats are filled through central AYUSH counselling conducted by AACCC, while CENTAC handles the seats falling under its counselling process. Puducherry residence
A candidate is a resident if at least one of these applies:
- The candidate or a parent or guardian has lived in Puducherry continuously for at least five years before the date of application.
- The candidate studied for five successive classes in a recognised Puducherry institution before the qualifying exam, while living in Puducherry for those five years.
- The candidate is a child of natives of Puducherry who declared a Puducherry town as their home town, with a Nativity by Birth Certificate.
- The candidate is a child of defence or government personnel who died in service in Puducherry, as detailed in the brochure.
- French nationals covered by the Treaty of Cession, with the prescribed certificate.
- Children of central or state government servants and similar employees posted in Puducherry for at least three continuous years, who studied HSC (two years) in a Puducherry school.
Dual nativity rule: a candidate eligible in Puducherry and another state must pick one Government Quota. Claiming both leads to cancellation of admission, possible legal action and a ban from CENTAC counselling.
Puducherry AYUSH Counselling 2026 Registration Process
Puducherry AYUSH Counselling 2026 registration is online only, on www.centacpuducherry.in. Physical applications are not accepted.
- New registration. Enter a valid mobile number and email ID, then create a password of up to 6 characters. These cannot be changed later. Use your own or your parent’s number and email.
- Login. Log in with your email ID and password. An OTP goes to your registered mobile number every time you log in.
- Fill the application form. Enter personal details, academic details, NEET UG 2026 rank, quota and category claims. Upload the documents.
- Review and edit. Use the Back option to correct errors. Editing is open only until the last date of the application.
- Pay and submit. Click Make Payment and pay the application fee. The application is valid only after payment shows in the application view under Application Fee Payment.
- Submit course preferences. After payment, your dashboard opens for college and course preferences. You can then view and download the application form.
You can apply under one or more quotas (Government, Management, NRI) at the time of application. A new quota cannot be added after the last date.

Puducherry candidates who opt for both Government and Management Quota pay the Management Quota registration fee only, which was Rs. 2,00,000 in the Round 2 notice. Candidates already admitted in Round 1, except EBC / SC / ST / GSS, can join Round 2 without paying the registration fee.
Registration fee is adjusted against the tuition fee if you are allotted a seat and join. If no seat is allotted, it is refunded to the same bank account. If a seat is allotted and you do not join, it is forfeited.

Refunds start only after the whole admission process ends and can take about three months. They go only to the bank account given in your application.

Upload scanned copies of recently renewed, self-attested documents. Originals are needed only at the time of admission in the college.

Community certificates in the format used for central institutions are not accepted. NRI, OCI and foreign national candidates need extra documents such as passport, embassy certificate and sponsor certificates.
Puducherry AYUSH Counselling 2026 Choice Filling
Choice filling for Puducherry AYUSH Counselling 2026 opens in your dashboard after you pay the application fee. Course preferences are needed in every round.
- Log in to the dashboard with your OTP.
- Select colleges.
- Select courses offered by those colleges.
- Arrange them in order, with your top choice first.
- Submit before the deadline for that round.
Allotment follows your order of preferences, so put the course you want most at the top. Pick as many options as you can. A course you do not list is treated as one you do not want.
Editing is allowed until the last date for that round. After that the data is frozen. There is no seat if the preference list is empty, and no change request is entertained after the deadline. Preferences of one round do not carry to the next, so fill them again in each round.
Puducherry AYUSHC Counselling Rounds
CENTAC holds four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and a Stray Round. Every round has these steps: seat matrix or vacancy publication, willingness (from Round 2), registration fee (from Round 2), fresh preferences, eligible list, allotment list, allotment order download, balance tuition fee, and reporting.
Round 1
- Registration: All NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates who applied to CENTAC can take part.
- Fee: Nil. No forfeiture.
- Choice filling: Submit course preferences before the deadline.
- Reporting: Report to the allotted college on time. A seat not joined is treated as vacant and moves to the next round.
- Upgradation: Sliding is not allowed in Round 1.
- Exit: Round 1 admitted candidates could resign without forfeiture by the date in the Round 2 notice.
Round 2
- Registration: Submit willingness and pay the registration fee.
- Who can join: Everyone, whether allotted and joined, allotted and not joined, resigned, or not allotted in Round 1.
- Choice filling: Round 1 preferences are void, so fill fresh ones.
- Upgradation: Sliding is allowed. If a new seat is allotted, the Round 1 seat is cancelled automatically.
- Exit: Not joining a Round 2 seat forfeits the fee.
Round 3 (Mop Up)
- Registration: Willingness, registration fee and fresh preferences.
- Seat changes: Unfilled Government Quota BAMS seats are converted to All India Management or Self-supporting seats. Reserved seats left vacant are de-reserved, and this happens in Round 3 only.
- Upgradation: Sliding is allowed. A new allotment cancels your earlier seat.
- Exit: Not joining forfeits the fee. The brochure says candidates admitted in Round 1, 2 or 3 cannot resign an admitted seat once Round 3 is under way. As reported, the window to resign a Round 1 or Round 2 seat.
Stray Round
- Who can join: Seats left after Round 3 are filled here. Candidates admitted in Round 1, 2 or 3 cannot take part.
- Fee: Full tuition fee for most candidates. Rs. 25,000 for Puducherry SC / ST / GSS 10% under Government Quota in BAMS.
- Exit: Not joining forfeits the amount paid and also bars the candidate from further rounds this year and the next.
Candidates admitted in a round and wishing to keep the seat need not register again in the next round.
Puducherry AYUSH Counselling 2026 Admission Process After Allotment
- Download the Provisional Allotment Order from your dashboard.
- Pay the balance tuition fee to CENTAC online, if any. The registration fee is adjusted against it.
- Report in person to the allotted college within the stated time. No one else can do it for you.
- Carry the allotment order, original certificates with self-attested photocopies, and any additional fee the college asks for.
- The college verifies documents and confirms the admission.
If you miss the reporting date, the allotment is cancelled automatically. The originals, except the Transfer Certificate, are returned only after approval or recognition by the affiliating bodies, so keep photocopies. Wrong information or fake certificates can lead to cancellation without notice, no refund and legal action.
BSMS, BUMS and BHMS Seats in Other States
These seats are for Puducherry candidates, under a sponsored quota for states or Union Territories that lack such colleges. Admission is based only on the NEET UG 2026 marks.

- CENTAC: one copy to the Coordinator, CENTAC, Kamarajar Manimandapam Campus, Karuvadikuppam, Puducherry 605008. The last date was extended to 10.08.2026, 5.00 p.m. The extension notice does not split this by state.

These rules cover Government Quota seats. All India, Other State and Self-supporting seats follow the rules set by the concerned authority. Reservation claimed in the application cannot be changed later.
