Shivalik Ayurvedic Medical College is Azamgarh Commissioner’s first Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital. Its Medicinal Garden has a 2505sq.mt area and 342 medicinal plants. Shivalik Ayurvedic Medical College was founded in April 2012 near Bijarawa, Bankat, 6 kilometres from Azamgarh town on the Azamgarh-Gorakhpur route. In October 2014, it received LOP from the Government of India’s Department of AYUSH.
Recognizing the importance of long-term health care and the growing public interest in holistic health care, Shivalik Ayurvedic Medical College has established a sophisticated Ayurvedic Hospital in Azamgarh with 60 beds and facilities for Shalya, Shakya, Balrog, Stri roga, Kayachikitsa, and Panchkarma. Different specializations are operating in a 60-bed hospital that provides an ideal environment for Ayurvedic care. Shivalik Ayurvedic Medical College uses it as a teaching hospital.
