The goal and timeframe of the mop-up round and the normal round of AYUSH Counselling are different.
The normal round is the first round of counselling, during which applicants register, indicate their preferences, and are then assigned seats in accordance with their qualifications and preferences.
The majority of seats are intended to be distributed in this round.
The mop-up round is an additional phase that follows the regular round.
The purpose of it is to fill any leftover vacancies that did not get filled during the first round.
In order to fill open seats, qualified candidates who didn't receive seats in the earlier rounds or those who later became eligible may compete in the mop-up round.
