Most BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) programs in India do not offer direct admission into the second year (lateral entrance) as of my most recent update in September 2021.
The five-and-a-half-year BAMS program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training.
The curriculum is extensive and builds on the groundwork learned in the first year.
In order to maintain the continuity of learning and make sure that students develop crucial skills and abilities throughout the program, lateral entrance is typically not allowed.
However, it's crucial to confirm any new modifications or unique guidelines for lateral entry into BAMS programs with specific universities or colleges.
